Sorry about the curiosity but it has a hold of me. I have been wondering a few things about the Auctions and one thing on the HMMWV.
First question I have is why are a good number of auction trucks seem to have had the belt(s) cut or removed? I was guessing this this was an anti theft thing but...
LOL at "HMMWV Tax" If you are handy you could use something like this... Cut the neutral safety switch power or a high power relay and cut all power to the start switch. It's cheap...
I am not too sure where to ask this but here I go. My M1101 came with a cargo cover when I got it. It was folded up in the bed. Well I took a look at it and it has an issue. Where the folded side had been exposed it all crispy. The rest of the cover is in like we position. I want to try and...
WOW... Not to poke fun but just too look at things I have heard and said over the year.s.. Man I could use a third arm... You be like Hold my beer. Again not to be disrespectful. Just amazed how people well can adapt. I should stop and think before I complain and just figure out how to adapt...
As how hard are these engine to work on? Guess that would depend your you and how well you use tools. I do not find them hard. However if yours has one of the dang 400 amp alternators... that would make a nun cuss like a sailor.
This maybe the "normal" 6.5 sound. When they run I think I hear a pinging or knocking or clunking noise. If you know anyone in you AO with a 6.5 in your area would listen to it and compare. I have also found that these engines seem to have their own personalty to say. One will be a dog, one...
My truck was one of the de-armored trucks. The lower inside A pillar don't have a cover like on the un-armored trucks. Is there a part number for these? I looked in the TM and didn't see them. Or is there someone scrapping out a body where I could get them? Picture below is the right (pass) side.
I had lockers in my M1008 CUCV pickup and that was just as bad as the LMTV. Need some weight in the back. Also the snow here in Washington is slick as snot on the wet side. Add some hills and you ain't going anywhere.
First off I am not 100% sure this will work so this isn't a how to. This is just me being board and how to get what I want.
I linked to Rock Auto for the clutch. here's the link again https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8894196&cc=1379426&pt=6812&jsn=1168
Heck if I needed to replace the water pump I would see if this set up would work. I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS AND DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WIOULD WORK. Just thinking and typing my thoughts here.
Water pump. pulley and fan clutch $138 . Again GMB as I have had good luck in the past...
705 bucks... yeah no...
The above links parts prices
Fan clutch $67 GMB brand. I have had very good luck with this brand.
Fan $66 GM OEM the gold standard for parts.
So far I am up to $133 So $572 in savings.
Need to find a pulley that will work. I could turn down the ones In the truck to...
I am thinking of someone would use that clutch above that this fan might work...

What if someone wanted to put a standard fan clutch on like I have linked below. Is there a good choice for a fan that would fit? Or is there somewhere that list the fan sizes like off a Chevy pickup? This would sure make it way nicer to drive...
