My pictured truck above has all of the markings and the hood was clear. Below is the UIC on the hood. I was just noting that the truck coming out now have the numbers painted over. And yes you can sand to show them. I even used scotch brite to revival.
You could get lucky and find a picture of your truck in service. Below is my truck... In service and Auction pictures. It had marking of 3/5 on the hood and a blue circle . The 3/5 is the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines ... with all of the sand from Camp Pendleton ...
Elections have consequences... no matter who you vote for. All that equipment should have been brought back or destroyed. What really pisses me off and isn't reported on was all of the military dogs they left behind... I am sure they are being cared for (sarcasm)
Every time I take a hose to my M1152A1 I get sand washing out of everywhere. I take it Ill never get all of the sand out ... Its like my own little Socal beach...
Can you link to an inverter that is 98% efficient? I like to know... I would think it would take at least 2% just to run the electronics... then at working temps... I really find that hard to believe you are going to get 98% in real world applications. Heck I find it hard to believe a top tier...

I built mine and it was easier than I thought. I did look at Kevilar panels but didn't want to spend the $$$$ to build with. Other than being "tacticool" I don't foresee a need.
I had something like that and I opened it up and removed the electronics inside for the siren... just had the loud speaker and horn... but that was many years ago...
I am going to use a spray in bed liner. The bed somewhat rough and I think the liner will make it look better. The stuff I got is suppose to be the correct green, I'll post pictures when I get that done
I also have the troop seats I will be installing back on... or at least the sides. I need to...
Funny, I heard on the scanner someone with a siren was chasing people... At least that what the Washington State Patrol was saying... Somewhere on SR3...
Replaced the u -joints on the front drive shaft. The TM makes this sound easy... I was cussing like a sailor trying to get the shaft out. Ended dropping the sway bar... took most of the day but all replaced.
