I don't believe there is any such thing as a DN2W someone at Onan must have been standing on their head when they set up the stamping machine the day that tag was stamped!
You want page 136 and 137 in the -34 TM. Measure from the face of the pump mounting surface to the cam right next to the gear, subtract 1.171" and the difference is the required shim thickness.
I have a bunch of new shims if you can determine what thickness you need.
The shim is specific to...
Based on your current situation with electric stove, hot water and a well I agree with LITD that an 803 is your best choice. An 802 would get you by in an emergency BUT you would need to be on-site at all times to load manage things, especially with the water heater consuming almost all your...
About the only thing you can do is get everything serviced and ready to fire up, but crank it from the dead crank switch for a while to get oil circulating a little before you attempt to start it from the main switch.
It doesn't really matter, there's no area on the block to seal against the additional material that defines the 4 squares anyway.
Go with the 4 square one, but save the open one for a rainy day incase you need another.
Humm... that doesn't really seem right to me. I've used those gaskets on both the LPW4 and LPW2 and never stacked up both gaskets.
I don't think there's any openings in the block or cover that prevent either gasket from being used by itself.
IIRC I used 1 gasket on one machine and the other...
K1 is known to hang up occasionally if the set hasn't been used in a long time.
Before you go crazy testing thinks, start by whacking the top of it with a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer while clicking the contactor switch up.
If that doesn't work the TM tells you where to apply ground and 24V...
Er, well, to stay on topic of my generators, when I took off the front control panel flap, all of those pan-head philips screws were quite corroded and several were nearly stripped (one I had to drill out). So I replaced all 7 screws. Perhaps I should have used stainless but eh, if they last...
Well, there are 3 things at play regarding pump timing.
1) The gear that rotates the pump internals meshes with a gear on the camshaft.
That "Timing" is set by putting the "PC" mark stamped on the flywheel aligned with the pointer on the bellhousing with the engine on cyl. 1 compression stroke...
So your pre-heaters are mounted in the intake manifold, look like 2 spark plugs screwed into the top of manifold.
Running the heaters for 20-30 seconds should make the intake feel warm to the touch.
The glow plugs are screwed into the side of the heads under the intake manifold coming straight...
ADS made new nozzles for your injectors?? How much did that cost? Wonder why they didn't just buy new ones...
Your description is sounding to me like you pump's plunger guide has skipped and the pump timing is now way off.
Have you pulled the big cap off the center of the pump and removed the...
Whenever in doubt if you can't find a torque spec. you can check what size fastener you have and then look up general torque specs for that diameter fastener.
Things like thermostat housings, covers etc. are not critical and just need to be tight within reason.
1 handed wrist tighten with a 3/8"...
My son watches that guy too. We just saw that video the other day as well.
First time I started it I thought he was running on 3 cyls. but it turned out all good in the end!
If you want to you can drill a small hole ( 1/8" or smaller ) to help bleed out air but its really not necessary.
The only time you really have problems and can be saved by a bleeder hole is when your radiator cap is lower than the thermostat, which isn't the case in your 803.
Based on your first post I am going on the assumption that you've had this gen for a while and it's been working correctly until now, right?
And all you did was add the oil drain extension and some new batteries??
Definitely sounds like the starter solenoid is stuck or you have a wire backwards.
I've been using the small 12V 21AH batteries in my 831, my 4 wheelers and my son's LPW2 powered tractor all with no issues.
They're cheap and I can lay them on their side in the tractor with no issues.
I'd...
By chance have you done any load testing with your 002 or 003?
My son decided to try making some black diesel today, 2 gl. WMO diluted with some gasoline we previously used to degrease some parts , to match the viscosity of HHO, and then filtered to 4 microns and mixed that 50/50 with HHO.
Put...
