Does anyone have pics of broken transfer cases? Do they always break in the same spot? Just curious as to the weakness because I use mine hard on the M931 with 16.00r20's and haven't had any issues.... yet. Lots of off road equipment recovery and hauling. I have a spare t-case though. A...
If the belts are screeching, start there. Something is physically wrong for that to happen. Screeching belts isn't an electrical issue. Fix that problem first then tighten the thumbscrew on the fuel shut off and jump the starter. As long as it has fuel and enough power to turn over the...
Replace the filter on the block and definitely add a frame mounted spin on system like above. The Baldwin BF1212 would be a great option for on the frame rail. Excellent water removal ability

Looking to get a 5 ton axle center chunk from Kansas to Washington state. Will easily fit in a pickup. Let me know if your headed to the west coast and we'll make it happen.

They are much easier to read if you paint the letters a different color. I painted mine white and they look great. Glad to hear Canada still likes us!

If you have an air leak in your fuel line or very dirty filters, the air comp will do that. Is it like that hot and cold or does it get better once the engine is warmed up? Does it do that after you have driven it? Does it stall or drop way down when you put it in drive versus neutral?

You have to push the pedal pretty hard to "lock" them. Anything but hard to the floor will just create resistance otherwise you'd be locking them up every time your trying to stop in the rain.

One other thing to check, some older hoses will collapse internally and plug up. They look good on the outside and don't leak under pressure but once the engine is attempting to pull fuel, they will collapse. Just replace all rubber lines before you spend money elsewhere

Well government liquidation allows previews so the best way is to bring a tape measure and look! They may even measure for you if you call and ask nicely. If you buy based on everyone's educated guess and get something that doesn't fit, it's your loss. Or find out they have hidden damage...
I think with the hx 50 and FMIC the 8.3 could do a reliable 350 horse without much worry about egt. I'd still run a gauge but I would feel very safe with that setup. Now it's just the time and money to do it! If I could only find a good deal on the hx 50...

No reason to argue. I run dex 3 in my 931a1 and 15-40 delo in my m923a2. Both work hard and have no problems. Probably 20k miles between the 2 of them. Dex 3 shifts smoother and 15-40 shifts hard but both are fine. Run what you want and have fun driving a big ass truck, no reason to get...
