Has anyone looked at the Axletech T600 case as an upgrade option for the Rockwell T1138?
I'm aware that there are a few differences, but the axletech case is a newer, modern design and appears to have better specs. I know the dimensions are also slightly different but I've never actually seen...
Awesome work! I'm saving pics and your project is going to be the inspiration for mine. What door frames are those? Are they the same type used on Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks?
I can vouch for the quality, I have the same unit from the same source. Well worth the money, mine cranks over effortlessly even on the coldest mornings now.
Do you have a part number or specs on this product? I have some crud in the bottom of mine and have considered pulling the end tanks. If it's a nightmare, I may reconsider
The Hemtt rims have a different offset that allows you to run the 16.00's in the front without rubbing.
My truck is rock solid after the switch. More stable than before. I work my truck hard and other than a bigger step to get in, the 16.00's have been a big improvement in terms of load and...
I swapped from 14.00 to 16.00's on both my A1 and A2. Run HEMTT rims and you won't have any issues. They are close in the back but after about 9k combined miles it's never been an issue. I just can't run rear chains. No noticeable difference in power and the ride is much smoother.
It's rough on the starter and batteries with only 2 in those cold temps. Big voltage drop cranking that cold engine over until it fires. Ether, block heater and/or 4 batteries and she will eventually fire off.
