    Air tanks lined?

I used black beauty blasting media and steel balls to clean mine out. Set them up in a lathe and Bridgeport to get them to tumble all around inside. Afterwards used the POR15 product to line them. No problems so far in the last 3 years. Did come out with red looking primer dust and some small...

***URGENT*** MEP 803a set-up question ***SOLVED***

Wow I was curious if the socket could have been vaporized before the short tripped out anything bigger than what you were already working on.

***URGENT*** MEP 803a set-up question ***SOLVED***

Crazy story thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity, did the replacement go successfully otherwise? I have seen guys changing out CB under power at work, using all safety precautions and everything went OK. I am always nervous working on things like that which are live but sometimes it needs to...

    Restoration of FAV #0010

This might work and is not crazy money. Bought one for work and the thing is amazing. https://www.jd2.com/model-32-tube-bender-manual Smallest die set for 1" tubing is 3" Center Line Radius - maybe that is small enough. https://www.jd2.com/model-32-die-set-1-round-tube-1-od

Hurricane Advice: HMMWV will not move!

Check the trans fluid level first as MOGMAN suggests above in case you missed it.

Stuck Drag Link & Pitman Arm

Should be able to wire brush around the four studs on top of it. Blow it out and get some penetrating oil on it. Give it a few good whacks with a big hammer near the end there and it should come free. Nothing else holding it down. Just those four nuts you already have off.

M35A2 vs. M35A3 In Snow and Ice

I have never seen a garbage truck, roll off or a dump truck with singles in NY/NJ.

    M35A2 has been sitting for 40+ years…

If you enjoy working on things like this and can afford the time and money for parts you might be OK. I would go in lower than $3000.00. Expect to replace all the pinion seals, wheel cylinders, brake lines, tires, axle seals, filters and clean out the fuel tank. Also two batteries. Maybe some...

    Opening up the rockwells…

I ran all the lines to a cheap manifold you can get at McMaster and used a cone looking muffler as the vent. Seems to be a lot better. Mounted it on the firewall. https://www.mcmaster.com/manifolds/right-angle-flow-rectangular-manifolds-7/ https://www.mcmaster.com/mufflers/mufflers-5/

    My deuce caught on fire

Had the same problem a few months back when a one year old fuel line sprung a pin hole leak. Lucky I wasn't far from home when it happened.

    J Pipe Repairs

Couple years back I bought the entire turbo upgrade system from Eastern. Went together perfect and I have all the other parts if I need them later. I cut the top pipe down and added a flapper to hopefully reduce the rust problem at the bottom of the J going forward. I have the new upper pipe as...

Definitive conclusions - Which rear axle is best to disable and how?

I don't think you will save much on tire wear honestly. I have read mostly of people desplining the hubs on the front and rear axle. Some say that it is easy to get stuck even on wet grass if you are running that way. Others use a locking hub on one side rear only to help it turn a bit better. I...

    Rivet Clincher for Window Channel?

Good luck. Should not need that much force. I had the tool in a Bridgeport collet and just used the quill handle to set most of the rivets.

NY MTV Insurance in NY - M1083A1

Progressive did the same thing when I had my M35 insured with them. Now I am on State Farm and I do not recall if they are using the "1's" or not.

    Rivet Clincher for Window Channel?

Maybe with the tool you could use a C clamp and a steel block in the channel over the rivet head. The Tools are long but you might cut one down. It would be hokey but doable. Squeeze the rivet down with the c-clamp and it would make the channel tight to the door. Maybe machine a round bar with...
