8.3cummins, big cam cummins, a bunch of others can all be used depending on how much trouble you want to go to. The transmission has torque limit of 800 if I remember correctly.

I had HF jackstands, and swapped all 6 wheels/tires with the truck on their jackstands. Then they recalled them.
Never again. I'll never use HF for a critical safety device.

What you're doing is ok except for going to neutral and brakes to stop. You want controlled downshifts all the way to 2nd (at least).

My hubs weren't flipped. They were dish out.
I never noticed the lack of valve stem access because I never had a low tire and never had to add air.
I speculate that a 90* valve stem extension would resolve it.
Flipping the hubs (a non-trivial amount of work) should allow for running them...
