Was there a final correct answer on the LM/FMTVs being EMP proof ????

From what I remember of reading and watching various things, The 3116 trucks that were all mechanical are EMP proof at least as far as the motor was concerned. Not so sure about the transmission if that has a computer to control it since it does have that fancy little number pad control module.

I spotted this tatra woodland fire truck sort of converted to an overlander by strapping it trailer onto the bed, in Oceanside California

Out of curiosity I looked at the specs of that trailer. It's 10 ft 3 in tall. That Tatra has the 54-in Michelin ZXL tires. The bed is about 5 ft from the ground. That puts him at 15 ft 3 in! He goes under a minimum height overpass He's lucky if he only loses the air conditioners and...

They're packing up that business and leaving, and I wish I could spot the owners there because I wanted to tell them the same thing. Turn the trailer around the other way remove the wheels off of it and bolt the frame to the bed of the truck. It might still be over height.

    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

But this was the favorite picture that I took of a very lovely waitress in Brussels. And that by the way is a very delicious beer that you should try if you can find it. Grimbergen Double. One of the oldest beers in existence, sometimes at BevMo.

    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

20 years ago I toured through Europe, when I was in Amsterdam I walked down a perfectly normal street on my way to go check out some famous pancake house place. After dinner it was quite late walking back the same exact way only to find out I had walked through the same sort of street shown...

    Awesome aluminum extrusion gift!

A Swiss machine builder friend of mine was nice enough to give me a large quantity of 15 series 80-20 aluminum extrusion and a large bag of T-nuts, 180 linear feet! Just what I need to start building the internal structures of the habitat!

    2.5 or 5 ton truck?

How long ago was that? Is that an obsolete classification? I did some more research and now I found it might be a South Carolina thing

    2.5 or 5 ton truck?

Would you mind posting some info about the class f license you mentioned? I've been researching this for a while and have never come across that I just researched it again and still couldn't find anything about the class f. Is this a federal thing or specific to a certain state or states?

Someone Got a New Toy (not me)

Exactly the m1087 is already pushing it for height at about 12'1"! Add another 3 ft minimum for that trailer... I mean I already chastised the Belarusian driver who delivered my truck from Wisconsin because he had it hanging off the back instead of instead of the middle or front like he should have

Someone Got a New Toy (not me)

Yep looks like the one that I saw but there wasn't an explanation as to why the box was torqued. Dumbass driver should have measured the height and paid attention to the bridge warnings! I mean he could have at least used the hydraulic system to pull the front down and also air down the tires...

Someone Got a New Toy (not me)

Must be talking about the one that I saw on the auction at GovPlanet a couple years ago where the box looks like it had been tossed in a hurricane!
