Fuel tank is crystal clean. when I feel the coolant with my finger it has a jelly type consistency. Would a radiator pressure tester tell me anything? I can rent one from Napa.

Will check the fuel tank and report back. The coolant level hasn’t risen or dropped, but my engine oil has decreased three quarts over a four hour drive at 50 mph. No strange smells in the coolant overflow. No blow by at the oil fill cap or steam rising out.

Ok thank you. I believe there is some kind of oil/hyd fluid in it now, so I will stay with that to avoid seal problems.

I would like to drain and flush my power steering fluid on my new to me 1078. I have read a few threads where 10w oil was recommended, but have been unable to find this locally. Is there another weight or type of fluid that is reasonably priced and more readily available?

I flipped over my upper number placard holder today and it had a red C on it. Any idea what it might signify? Maybe a company designation?
