CBR is right. Definitely gonna be some work to be done to get it correct. Hopefully you can find all the parts or a donor engine. I wonder if the bearings on the crank are good, would suck to do all that work to have a bad bearing show up next.
Our generator will only power the necessities. A/C is out of the question. Last year I only ran it for a few hours here and there during a couple short term power outages. Luckily, we haven't had any bad storms as of yet in the local area.
That's a start. This is for an A3, correct? Have you checked the classifieds here? I have seen a lot of nice trucks of all types and models come and go on here from a wide range on the price scale.
If you can't get away with the exemption, could just zip tie it to the grill so it sits just above the winch once it's installed or at least be easy to relocate. I do the same thing as Simp, plate sits in the glove box.
The weight definitely makes a difference. I have 550 gallons of wmo in the back of my truck now and it definitely smooths the ride out, but sure is noticeable on the brakes. I got two steel drums that I'm thinking I'm gonna spruce up since my back cover is open and everyone can see them. I...
I agree with all above posts. Many of those people at the local dmv have no idea what they are talking about. Been there done that, lol. Same with insurance companies. Use the right wording and you get a good policy, otherwise they deny you, push a commercial policy, or charge an insane amount.
I don't think you're posting too much or providing too many updates. At some point important information is relayed in the posts and amongst the discussions. This is why this site is so useful.
It almost seems like they made the brackets to be a one size fits all kinda thing. Will you cover this process via description or pictures on what you did to make it fit? I'm curious to see the finished product once you're done.
From what I can see, both of these were Army trucks and not air force. One looks like it's flush and the other looks like it has a gap but hard to tell and one has the square frame and the other is round. Makes me wonder if the side marker brackets weren't installed during the initial...
I'm curious to see what the end result will look like. Not sure if a M105 cover will work since it has to wrap around the tailgate, unless you raise the bows so it can clear the bed sides or just tie out the sides and just leave the rear flap hanging down. Could always install a couple eye bolts...
White play sand is a good option. I had that as a kid and my grandpa got a truck load for me from the gravel pit he worked at. Imagine a deuce bed full of sand? Lol! That sure would be some work pushing it all out without a dump bed!
I understand where you're coming from. There has been confusion and issues among different types of fuel/air lines, so going with AN type of line is not a bad idea and it is better and/or easier to make repairs with fewer parts if need be. I would be interested to see a parts list and pictures...
This is not a bad question. There are differences in one kind of line to the next but it's based on what it is. 3/8" plastic fuel line may not be the same as 3/8" air brake line as I found out. The plastic fuel line was larger in the sense the fittings were too sloppy and the crush nuts wouldn't...
Okay. Are you just wanting a better tire over all or something better for speed? Have you got any quotes on the 11x20's or anything?
395's are pretty expensive either way and while deals can be found periodically, the rims (and adapters if applicable) are either hit or miss. I have the same as...
