Yes.
I look forward to hearing the outcome. Even if you're not successful, the stories of navigating ROK corporate and defense bureaucracy will be interesting. Good luck and I hope you have some Korean copies of US HMVs for sale soon.
That's probably why my metal spouts suck so bad, I've never used one that didn't have dried out and cracked rubber. I'd like to find a source for new ones as well.
I use plastic Scepter cans and USGI fat spouts almost exclusively at home. I've been using mostly the same setup since about 2008. Although I have added more cans and another fat spout thru the years. I get far less leaking than with metal spouts in plastic cans or metal spouts on metal cans...
I'd like to know what brand and type of paint is holding well on plastic. I've tried various primers and paints, I just haven't found anything durable on HDPE or PVC. What's the report on this light?
More information on all the M44 variants would be interesting. There just isn't much out there about some of the vehicles produced in small quantities; V17A, V18, M756, etc. Development programs, production numbers, photos from the production lines and the field, TO&E requirements, and reports...
Lawyers I've dealt with always seem to have impeccable spelling and grammar skills. Military Veteran lawyers usually know what branch of the Army they served in as well. Although I can see how the ordinance corps could be related to law, I don't believe that branch exists. I do know a few...
I spotted this model kit today and thought of this thread. I built a 1/35 M35A2 when I was a kid, it's long gone but this one would be a fun complement to a US kit.
After repeated trouble with the stock sealed beam lights in those housings I replaced them with Grote 63821-5 LEDs. They fit perfectly and and don't have hi/low settings. One wire for hot, and ground through the stud. I made sure the ground was good, sealed the extra hot contact hole with a...
Been there, done that. Bought a 5-ton without telling the wife. I dropped the news in casual conversation like it wasn't a big deal. It was like a band-aid... pull it off quick so it doesn't hurt as much. It blew over and we laugh about it now. You can always live in the back of the truck for...
Great video, thanks for posting. What a great airplane. I've seen and touched Fifi, but never had the chance to buy a ticket to ride. If I can manage to match up my time and location with her schedule I'd gladly pay the going rate to fly aboard her for a few minutes.
Great kit. If he's still selling I recommend it. My brief review is here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?67703-What-did-you-do-to-your-deuce-this-week&p=1537587&viewfull=1#post1537587
The "USMC" stamped on that water can oddly enough does not indicate United Stated Marine Corps. USMC in this case is the manufacturer, US Metal Container company. US Metal Container made both fuel and water cans for the US military from WWII into at least the 1980s, perhaps even later. Good...
A good discussion on Kia MVs, Kia 2.5 ton truck pic, and links to more threads are here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?95813-republic-of-korea-army-m35a2

Stock rotates frequently at both places, but I know with Murphy you can contact him and see if he has what you need. He often has stock that isn't listed on the site.
That looks like fun! The truck looked like it was under a good load, what RPM does it run at to power the pump(s)? What was the deal with the color of the water when you first started? Rust in the truck or rust from the water source?
