Yeah Ray, test button illuminates, switch test passed, following circuit through to k-1 ,I lose continuity between tb-5 & k-1 terminal- y ? Wanted to pull apart J-6 & spray some deoxit . This machine had a bunch of corroded connections.
I'm tracing the circuit from the AC interruper switch to K-1. I'm good to TB-5 & out , til it goes though J-6 on to K-1. How do the fittings at J-6 come apart? I can't find in the TM's how these connectors are to be separated , I don't wanna break these old 1995 fittings.
Disconnect the batterys, spray some electronic contact cleaner into those s-1 , s-6, & s-8 if you have the top off, and exercise the switch as you do. Most say Deoxit is the best stuff, I've never tried it but had good luck so far with a CRC quick dry electronic cleaner.
Looking back at the inspection pictures now, I think pic 21 & 38 show the pintle pin exposed, sorry we didn't catch that.
I purchased an LTT with 2- 802s back in October from Chambersburg, Zed254's keen eyesight spotted the pin exposed in the inspection pictures of mine . I had it shipped to...
My interpretation of the lift diagram of 802s-803s is that they're balanced. My experience with both is the bolt down pattern is the same dimension as well. My trailer has mount holes for both 2 802s side ways or staggered, or 1 803 usually mounted rear forward.
I recently moved 2 802s from an LTT trailer to harbor freight trailers and my 803 to the LTT. I can't tell the 803 is any heavier on the LTT facing reverse. One 802 on a 40x48 trailer , perfect height to work on.
My 803 sat on that 4x8 for 2 years, moved around the yard a few times with a hitch on my mower. Now I'm looking for a fuel cell to add onto the LTT trailer with it.
I am not in dire need of the hoses , just knowing how rare they are and having 3 gens now, I jumped at the chance for a set. They'll probably just sit on my shelf forever.
I'd be willing to send it on to you for modeling or whatever, as long as I get it or another back eventually. (y)
I got a notice that mine shipped yesterday USPS priority. LITD that was my plan too, to try & find some replacements . I live near a Carquest warehouse, I'm pretty friendly with the guys there, I believe they'll let me go look through the inventory to match them up. (y)
They work fine, small, easier to move , convenient for working on a machine. I had 2 802s on an LTT, pita to crawl between them to work on them. I moved them to harbor freight trailers & put my 803 on the LTT.
I had my 803 on a harbor freight trailer, connected military fuel line to 30 gallon barrel , original Faccett aux. Pump , no issues.
Looking back at the pic now, I see , once it pumped first refill the fuel level in barrel was probably lower than day tank ?
Well I put some cheapo Amazon $19 casters on the 831. I agree with others , I don't think they'll roll far off road. They'll work for garage & carport.
That is a smoking deal you got, and jackpot in the tool box! Aux. Fuel line, fuel bung adapter, ground rods ,hammers , very nice.
Make sure to check for Quad fuse mod inside control panel. Sounds like the person you got it from didn't really know how to use it. Great find !
Has anyone tried bolting a 1/2" stem caster directly to the 4 corners of the skids on a 831a?
I'd think with 4 or 5" wheels would allow it to roll on solid ground.
