I noticed inside the control panel, the phase selector switch is set for 120/240 1ph, make sure the am/vm switch on control panel matches. It's currently in 3ph. Be gentle with the switches Guyfang pointed out.
I gotta say ,I'm more than happy with an 831a I worked out a partial trade with Demoh. I asked for a running unit, and he "self proclaimed OCD" , put together a ,IMO a perfect machine.
This thing runs like new, (Kurts controller as well). I put it on the little yard trailer and pull it...
Rattles & jingles
Oh yeah, x 2 for the 802, I hear.
The door catches on the 80Xs all rattle, take them off and have 180° door access. Loose door latches can be tightened up with a small slice of 5/8 automotive heater hose. Wich works well for the D-ring tie downs as well, 2-3 inches of hose...
I had nearly the same response, while replacing a pole across the road from me, they disconnected my service and alerted me before hand , when they reconnected, a worker checked and saw my 803 , and gave me a thumb up, I commented "interlock panel" and he gave me thumbs up again and went on.
I live in Florida ,but did not pull permit. I installed a 50amp inlet wired to an Interlock myself and had an electrician friend look it over. I originally planned to mount my 803a stationary but after reading in some past thread here ,of other areas permitting on stationary/ temporary, I...
I received mine Wednesday, yes very well packaged. Simple follow along instructions.
I had it installed and running within an hour in a half. I didn't take many pictures of install, I'll leave that to Diesel addict, I'm sure he'll give a better presentation than I can.
Awesome work Kurt, thank...
Check the voltage on the small battery, both of mine took a charge and show 3.6v . Otherwise they too can be found on EBay for a few bucks.
Rusty, great to hear yours has been running along perfectly.
I haven't used mine but a few times hauling beer to outing, takes up the rear of my Tahoe, it...
I too had forgotten to follow up on this.
I got a pair of these Chrome batterys off eBay for like $80 shipped.
They are 22ah as it was the largest I could find with confirmed exact measurements to fit.
I'm very pleased with them, with a full charge it will freeze for 24hrs with 20% battery...
I think you placed your query in the wrong thread to get much response. This thread was about replacement engine's. Otherwise , yes 803s are going for ridiculous prices for low hour , in my opinion, unproven units.
You can search around and find a few hundred to few thousand hour gen sets for 3...
Jeff , I don't know how long you've been watching auction activity but 803s have been bringing stupid money anymore. Running, low hour machines have been going for 4, 5, 6k, the $5 bids seam to create a frenzy. Add in auction fees, taxes and now credit card use fee. Then your travel expenses to...
Thanks for the help guys, "Demoh" clued me in on the fitting size to my existing lines -4AN or 1/4" JIC to 1/8" NPT. I can get the 4" hardline made at a Carquest store. Thanks all, I'll post pictures & description of parts when I gather it all.
It's been discussed that the Airtex e1074 is the replacement fuel pump for 802/803s , but where do I find the specs of replacement fuel line ? (Circled parts)
Nsn #s lead to no actual description of said parts. Or did I overlook it somewhere, crosseyed from chasing #s.
Thanks
Brian
I sourced all the fittings from aux. line down to pick up tube cut to length from Cunningham fluid power inc. Ocala Florida, about $33.
I have yet to find a barrel cover myself, I check under plastic cover for moisture often.
