Dextron VI came out in 2006 and can be used to replace II and III. For me I would just use III as that is what came in our trucks. Just my two cents.

Well it has no vents and it is sealed but I would not intentionally submerge it unless I had no choice. Damp weather can't easily get inside and that is good enough for me.

Not advisable. Those snake oil products sound really good but you don't get the whole story. These products chemically degrade rubber seals by softening and swelling them. You may find for a short time it could help stop a leak but that is only for a short time.
When a rubber seal is altered...
Two relatively inexpensive flooded 6TL batteries of the same potential is far more desirable then adding one new battery to an old one and chasing gremlins.
Believe me I get proper voltage and capacity testing but few here have the knowledge or equipment to take on that technical task and why...
Juse remember the fuse stops power going further but not before the fuse. If the fuse is at the charger and it shorts before that an old term comes to mind. Release the kraken! Lol

Dual batteries require batteries of the same age and potential and preferably share the same lot numbers. Differing batteries in a Dual (or more) system will cause one of the batteries to be over charged and the other to be under charged. Causes nothing but problems. Think of it as one giant...
Completely agree. You should drill a hole into the battery compartment and using a rubber gromet run the line in. I also don't see a fuse on that line for the charger where one is needed. Preferably very near the terminals. You also need protective covers on the battery terminals. Huge amount of...
Yes, if you have 12v trailer brakes you need the above mentioned converter. If the trailer does not have brakes I just use 10v-24v led bulbs. There are 12 pin military to 4 pin flat or 7 pin round adaptors out there. You can go with the top pic of military 12 pin to 7 pin then use a common 7...
