If I was in the market for a tow bar for my M998 I would absolutely take the med tow bar over the Ibis Tex. Have heard of many issues with the Ibis and that is enough for me. Besides, the med tow bar is much more manly lol

The lights are not easy to see unless it's real dark and that is the point. Learn how to turn them on and when it's dark out you can check them out.

I would pickup a cheap gallon of Dex 3 and using a drill driven transfer pump just push the fluid through the cooler.
