    Waterloo Power steering project

i don't even know if the inner reinforcement is needed, i just thought since it is steering related some over kill would not hurt. it only adds a few $$ to the kit. tom

    Waterloo Power steering project

it's one of only 3 bolts that holds the steering box on, needs to be tight. it is 5/8-16 and torqued to 150 ftlb, you get the picture.

    Waterloo Power steering project

jay, 1 other person had that issue with an old frame and they made a notch in the cross member where it meets the frame just big enough to have the bolt and nut come through. torque on that bolt should be 150 ft lb.

Can I connect a 12V hoist pump across 24V on my bobbed M35 dump conversion.????

you are thinking about constant wattage. this starts out being a resistive load but quickly becomes an inductive load so the current starts out at double but quickly drops to more than what it would be at 12 volts but not enough to be a problem.

    Confirm Alternator Belt Part Number

i just checked with gates, they do make the 9470HD and this belt will not stretch. the entire belt is green, not just the back.

Can I connect a 12V hoist pump across 24V on my bobbed M35 dump conversion.????

the larger the pump motor the better it will be, but the short answer is that you CAN run a 12v motor on 24v and it will not mind in situations where the run time is short. the current draw will be higher, but still not a problem. i would suggest you use a 24v solenoid to control the motor as...

    Confirm Alternator Belt Part Number

belt makers don't do that anymore. there is enough precision in belt making that any 2 of the same brand will be the same. there are many different belt qualities however and some may only last for a few years while others will last for tens of years. my truck does not use std length belts, so i...

    Mep-805a

yes there are ways to use it, but again, the question is often asked and there are many of these being auctioned off. it is 3 phase ONLY. also consider that each of the 3 windings in the head are in series and cannot be paralled. this is how it has 2 voltages, the neutral end of one winding to...

    Mep-805a

i don't see how this information can be correct. the 805 is a 10 wire, 3 phase ONLY generator. it cannot be wired in the common ziz-zag that 12 wire machines can. there have been quite a few posts in the past few years about the 805, everyone hopes it can be made single phase, it cannot. the...

    Mep-802a overload capacity

my 802 with a 5kw load shows 80% and is working but i would not say struggling. i am on the look out for some more loading coils so i can dial it in. the 803's with 10kw load don't seem to be working as hard.
  14. m-35tom

    Mep-802a overload capacity

i have wondered about that same thing with the 803. if so, you can fool the load protection system and 'recalibrate' the load meter by taking windings out of the load coils. remember it is not just what the engine will handle, but the heat in the gen head. you could always add a small turbo also.

Mep-805, 806 fuel filter retaining ring

does anyone need the retaining ring for the canister filter on the 805? i think i have found a source for them. they are not available from deere without the $135 filter mount (stupid) and filter companies don't have them either.

    Top end oiling

ok, so now we have the whole picture then. the entire rocker assemblies on both heads are oiled from the one rear point that is fed by the rear cam bearing oil feed. now that makes sense as the rockers don't really need that much oil and oil feed is in order of priority. thanks, g

    Top end oiling

yes, but why is there a hole in the front of the block if it goes nowhere?
  20. m-35tom

    Top end oiling

but is the oil fed up into the front of the front head? i see no connection in the block to any oil pressure. maybe just a incorrect drawing? i would think it would have been made redundant.
