'dr foster' was just dreaming and probably or almost certainly didn't have a deuce and did not know much about them. much of what i read from him was just wrong. you cannot just put a different turbo on and have twice the power, especially at the same boost. it's the same addage that works for...
just take the keepers off so the spring and cup will come off, remove the delivery valve and soak / wash it in lacquer thinner until it will come apart. note the relation of everything so it goes back the way it came.
there are many little things that must all work and be in the right relation to each other. the gear must rotate, the piston must pump, the delivery sleeve must slide and be connected to the control shaft by the pin and it must all be timed exactly right. plus it must have some fuel pressure to...
it's been a long time since i saw one, but isn't there a piston that a cam in the engine pushes? it must be very free except for the spring pressure that returns it.
and rear main seal!
you can get new for $2000! used should be around $400-$500 after inspection. never buy used without pulling the top cover and knowing what to look for. i sell new with OD kit installed for $3000.
soaking in laquer thinner will do more good than any other solvent i know of. they need to be very free and easy to move. lube it with clean fuel before putting it back on.
that trans has had a LOT of abuse. that poor thing is just destroyed! chances of it being fixed without taking it out are zero. you should look for a good take out, but have someone who knows these trans look at it before you buy. where are you?
sounds like they need to issue a upgrade to their software. i have a old best power ups and have never been able to get it to communicate which is the only way to check on much of it's functions.
i don't know that i would 'convert' to anything as long as you have all the original fittings and parts. the line is standard and of the many trucks that i have replaced all the line on, i have still kept the original fittings
when you turn main switch to start, terminal 25 and 28 close. this gives power to coil of K1, which should close. you should now have power to hour meter while you hold it at start. at the same time terminals 25 and 27 close and power is applied through CR1 to the coil of K3. just start at the...
as i suspected this IS a dedicated 3 phase generator and cannot be converted to single phase as most home use would normally have. that being said, you can use just 2 of the 3 phases for 120 and 208 volt and it will work fine for most things. your 240 volt things like stove, water heater, etc...
i am not aware of any flare fittings on the truck. that is generally used for liquid lines with low pressure. all the lines are just standard size soft copper, 1/4,3/8, 1/2. the fitting and nut is a finer thread than what you encounter in plumbing so you will have to re-use the old parts with a...
this is a 10 wire generator head NOT 12 wire. 12 wire can be reconfigured, 10 wire like the mep-805a is a dedicated 3 phase machine and that is all it ever will be. of course you can use just 2/3 rds of it but only have 120/208 volts with a 120° phase differance. see next post, i looked up the...
