    he already knows the wheels turn, it is the carrier that does not turn. pull the drain plug and see what comes out. in almost any case the unit will have to come apart.

    i would say bad v-reg. it is a sealed unit that is external on the back of the alt. just remove it and energize the field or remove the alt and check the diodes. it is very simple to work on.

    well, regardless of the settings it should start if you hold the throttle open as on the floor which you should do anyway to assure max fuel. i know you know how to install one, but it is easy to verify you don't even have to take the valve cover off if you read the manual, cause i don't...

    you zero the meter you are using, then measure the resistance. no further math needed.
