My 929 has the 395's. I had a M925A2 ROPS and a MTVR before this one. The MTVR has the best ride, hands down, but the 395's on the 929 have the least amount of shake of any truck I've ever had.
It isn't soot, more like small oil droplets. To be honest, I can't tell much difference in the way the 929 runs. It ran well before the treatment. My freightliner is the one that is running like crap. I've added the above (less Seafoam) to both tanks, but unfortunately they are tied together and...
I put a gallon of ATF, a gallon of high mileage 5-20w oil, and a gallon of Lucas fuel treatment in the drivers tank which had about 1/4 tank of fuel and ran it. Is it normal for junk to come out of the exhaust when doing this because the truck has little specks of something all over it now...
Once I broke the valve free, which didn't take an excessive amount of force, it works good now. I will be alternating tanks on a regular basis as well. The fuel filter on the Freightliner is kind of odd. It sits on top of the engine in a housing with a removable lid. It would be the perfect /...
So, to be clear, do I do this all at once, oil, Seafoam, and 2.5 quart Power Service all on 1/4 tank? I have a Freightliner flatbed delivery truck that is running like crap, it needs it too.
Back to the topic. I used a crescent wrench today and broke the valve loose. It operates smoothly now, and I swapped tanks with no issue. I think I'm going to need a sending unit in the driver's tank, it's very unstable. Gauge moves wildly back and forth when the vehicle is moving. Where is the...
Good grief. This is my fourth MV, my third 5 ton. My last truck was a MK23. I've owned these trucks in various configurations since the early 90's. While I certainly don't claim to have an exhaustive knowledge of these vehicles, I know how to drive these trucks, service these trucks, understand...
