Man, pulling a few of the relays on the electric side would be a heck of a deterrent. Most people that own the trucks have a hard enough time with the electrical system. If you then could lock the fuse panel cover, that would be effective x 2!
Maybe a couple drilled holes, a couple nut-serts...
They are useful for sure. I have one, it’s sharp and ready to go. Until then it’s up on the wall in my living room.
I run a few saws, if it’s not starting for you check the on/off switch. 🤣
Find someone local that mills wood. You should be able to get some pine 8” x 8” pretty inexpensive to boot. Great for cribbing, or you can stand on end for a “Jack stand”
I seem to have the same issue. 2013 M1078A1 with 14k miles. I can make it happen at 40-50mph if you manage the throttle to lightly load the driveline. My front driveshaft was out of phase when I got the truck. But after that everything feels tight.
Well from personal experience…… if’n the ground on the battery bank is in the wrong spot you will end up with that problem of 12v where it should be 24v and maybe no voltage where it should be 12v. I think I wrote a post about it too. I have an M1078A1.
I had some of the problems you described...
Send a message if you end up in NH, I’d love to check out the rig. I’m in the seacoast area and have a small but capable shop if you need anything it’s available as well.
Sorry for the late reply, no shipping seems very reasonable! I’ve got so many projects on my plate that the free labor was the real draw! Hahaha
I’ll get to ordering a set at some point. I need tires too. I’ll get around to it at some point. I’ve got that new light set onboard too.
FYI, the CAT system showed the older P/N gear pump installed on my engine. Very clearly, Pvt Snuffy had swapped for the newer gear rotor pump but it had a mfg date stamp of 2003, the same year as the truck and engine. So that was a bit confusing.
Pvt Snuffy had also used silicon AND the O/E CAT...
