Not to change the subject matter. The original transmission were designed to run on 30wt oil. Did you start using atf or stay with the 30wt. ?? I haven’t had that series truck for about 10 years. I really liked that truck for the auto trans. The M135 I had would cruise at 65 on flat ground...
I don’t think you’re going to have much luck with that. After the epay lawsuit with multiple states and the on line thing. All auction sites collect sales tax , you have a better chance of getting your local gov to not charge tax.
I kind of had the same issue with mine. The outter shoe was wasted and the inner shoe was still ok everything was out of adjustment and cable at max. I replaced the shoes and all the springs ( 1 was missing ). It took me forever to find the tm with the breakdown of all the springs and...
I like the g177’s. I flipped the hubs on my m35 and put on the m135 rims. I would ask around and see if someone would teach on how to replace tires on those rims. A duck billed hammer is needed on those old rims.
Those are too different styles of shackles. The one one the left looks like pre 1960. You should post in the parts wanted. I think I have like 10 sets with pins
I’ve been debating on getting one or trying to get mine re cored. Can’t beat the price but am paranoid of wasting money on one. 4 core seems the way to go.
I spent hours taking sand out of the cab of the funvee. Took out multiple buckets of sand out. After a year of driving around and washing. Still pulled out another bucket of sand from behind the rear passenger seat. All those little braces and supports. Found a bunch of old fuses and assorted...
Not destroyed. It should have all been loaded up and brought back to the US of A period. If we left anything there it should have been about 235 square Miles of fresh glass. 😡
I like simple too. That’s why I go to fluid. Every trans that I had that stopped working or lost power was from a leak. Only had one catch on fire from the leak. You would think all that mud wouldn’t burn but if you put a load of atf in it. Dirt will burn. 😉
Is there fluid in the trans ? Even after topping off if it was drained it could take like 12 quarts if the tork converter was drained. As soon as you put it into drive it would take all the fluid into the tork converter. There could be another issue with a broken input shaft / output shaft...
