To me cranetruck's image is classic accumulation of animal fat, and other high melting point esters, which is typical of improperly settled and filtered WVO, no matter how you alter or burn it.
I believe the issue of polymerization is more relevant to motor oil that has been in the crank case...
I agree with you, and that is why I bought a surplus military vehicle with a multifuel engine in it. To learn more about this engine you can start with this thread.

So-called Polymerization issues with...
Thanks, gimpyrobb, I have been flamed and banned from almost every alternative fuels forum for just advocating blending gasoline with WVO, and supporting the WMO blending community. So, I appreciate being allowed to express myself here, but I understand that you have had observations that give...
Here are photos of the extra winch (Braden LU4 for a M37 or M715), and the chain and clip for the stiff leg. It looks like the chain is later, but the clip might be original. No T pin though.
I did a Google search for a T Pin and got the following
Reading through the TM 9-2320-209-10-1...
I have posted about 100 videos on YouTube that clearly show that gasoline and waste oils do not separate; however, there are frequently precipitates formed when blending light solvents with heavier waste oils. Also, the oil must be in liquid phase, not gelled, or it will not go into solution...
Well, the OP is talking about running a properly designed, heated, two-tank system, which should work fine on either WVO or WMO, as long as the waste oil is properly filtered and de-watered. WMO does have issues, which have been discussed at length elsewhere.
Thanks that helps. The hole is about .805" ID. There is a chain on each leg, one of which has a cotter pin, which seems to secure a 3/4" pin that would hold the 2 pieces of the stiff leg together, and I guess that pin must secure the whole leg into the stow hole, so that part is starting to...
Thanks for the photos. Earlier I was looking at your photobucket page on your M756A2 and noticed that the stiff legs stow in the holes under the roller at the end of the bed. The two pieces of each stiff leg have to be held together by a pin or bolt that is small enough to fit inside the stow...
Thanks, I went digging and found the attachments for the stiff legs. One was hidden deep inside the storage tube, but I was able to dig it out.
I also photographed the two offset pop-up sheave clevises
While rummaging through the storage compartments I found 2 telescoping legs
And this homemade looking crank. The legs I figure are for stabilizing the truck when the crane is deployed, but I do not know how they connect.
The crank is a mystery.
That helps a lot
Thanks, I found these PDFs mentioned the M756, and downloaded them:

PS on this thread for another M756A2 http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?53460-M756A2-Recovery!-NY-DE-%28pics%29/page3 I noticed a weldment on either side of the headache wrack. On mine they have been cut off
Does anyone know what they are for?
I found your photos on photobucket. From examining my gin poles, and your set of photos, it looks like there might be a missing part. Here are photos of the ends of my gin poles
One gin pole has this piece of junk welded onto it
The other gin pole is free. The hole in the gin pole is 1.50"...
I just bought a M756A2 that is equipped with a non-turbo multiful engine. I plan to run it exclusively on my WVO-gasoline blends, which I have been developing and running on a 6.2L DD engine for 6.5 years. I see no reason why the multiful engine will not run just fine on my WVO-gasoline blends.
Well, you need to look at what happens when fluids go into solution, they do not separate except under freeze distillation, or boiling them in in normal distillation practices.
This observation violates the observations of chemists for centuries. I am inclined to rely upon my training in...
Thanks, I saw Desertdeuce's thread on his M756A2. I sent him an email to see if he is interested in discussions and/or trades.
The extra winch is definitely up for trade for the things I need, tronion, rigging and/or turbo
From what I can tell, the trunion joins the two arms of the crane...
Thanks, clinto, I will have to look up that article.
I have no intention of raping this beast, but it is going to have to be a working, and camping, truck; so the extra winch added to the top of the headache rack will have to go. It is clearly a later add-on, and inadequately engineered, so...
I just bought and drove home a 1968 M756A2 pipeline construction vehicle.
It is missing a few parts in the rigging, which I am in search of, such as: the trunnion, turbo, sides, and tail gate. It has an extra winch on top, that I plan to remove and possibly use as trading materials
