Probably unrelated to the restriction discussion, but does anyone have an idea of why I can't get the boom to come back far enough to get the latch on it? I have been pretty gentle with it, but it gets to within about 4 inches or so, and will go no further.
As a result, I have left it in a 3...
That sounds like a plan to me. I told you I was going to come for a visit to get SEE operational training some time. I will even supply the cooler of refreshments.

Does any one have a good weight on the spare tire? When my FLU419 was picked up, it didn't have the spare on it that was there when I bought it. GP is making good on it, but I need an approximate weight for the shipper. Eddie is guessing 120-150 lbs, but pure guess. Seems low to me but I don't...
I will try to test it later today, in the mean time I followed 911joeblow's advice and sprayed some PB blaster in the socket. I was not sure until I started getting responses if the key was removable, or if the switch was broken. I gave it a tentative poke yesterday and it did not seem to move...
Progress:
I am not sure which hit on the starter / solenoid did it., but it is off the street and in the back yard.
To start it, I need to run jumper cables from the battery to the engine block, and the solenoid. When I connect the negative cable to the block with the positive cable still...
I opened the access panel, and had been hitting the starter itself with a ball peen hammer. I will try hitting the solenoid a few times to see if that works, then pull the starter

I've got the FLU cough cough.... gee I bet I am the first to come up with that one.
I will give a full run down later, but the starter fired it up twice with no problem. The third time was not the charm though. I just spins with out engaging the fly wheel.

One man's debris is another man's darling.
I will not have long to wait now, the dirver said he would be here in an hour.

I want a sign like that. - I second FLU Farm's need for such a sign. It could prevent his SO from ever detecting new purchases.

The SEE that is "allegedly" mine is sitting on a trailer some where between here and Hook TX. The diver is treating it as a partial load.It should get here Tuesday or Wednesday depending on when he gets a full load. I "won" the auction on May 17th, so it is trying even my patience at this point...
One could legitimately question my wisdom on "clicking here to buy" on my FLU, (or any of them for that matter) but what fun is that? Sometimes it takes a fool to get anything done.

Thanks for catching that Speedwoble. I was just going by LO 3-2420-224-12 that shows the same GO-80/90 for the transmission, front and rear differentials and the front and rear axle hub drives. Is this the article you referred to...
I priced NAPA $450 for a 55 gallon drum, with a 10% discount, that would be $405. Petroleum Service Company sells Coastal AW-32 Premium for 290, Bluesky Pureblu for 297, Sunoco for 310. They offer flat rate shipping for $95 for up to 2000 lbs. I only need 1 drum at most. But at 290 that's...
Supplies List
Still no FLU, I talked to the shipper, and the army yard boss is not going available until next week. Either that or the shipper is feeding me bull, but it all amounts to it will get here next week.
So while I am waiting I have been gathering supplies. If one of you kind souls...
That was directed at me :D
I don't know if I did enough of my home work, or not (I suspect not). I have been looking the SEE, and other wheeled front end loader / backhoes for about 4 months, and ultimately came to the same conclusion as you did that for the price it was likely my best option...
