First thing I'd recommend is pulling the injectors and have them pop tested and adjusted. I put new injectors in my truck and it made a huge difference in starting and power. I was going to have mine adjusted but found a smoking deal on new.

When was the last time you put new fuel filters in? Has the truck ever ran? Is the in tank pump running?

If the hyd head is 180 out of phase, your just sending fuel to the wrong cyls. No big deal, pull it up and rotate it once, bolt back in place, good to go.

The pumps if memory serves are parker something-50 pumps. Should be rebuild-able.
