    Problem after new HH installation

James, the quill shaft has been known to snap too. I understand what you're saying about the drive washer, but that doesn't always go first.

    Blew out transmission maybe

Meh, Crusher bought a new clutch kit while at one of the mvpa national meets. Somewhere here on SS was a discussion about clutch thickness. Crusher went out and measured his new clutch vs one we had from a parted out truck, the used clutch had more meat on it! New does not mean better imho.

6.5 Turbo Diesel w/ crate. Iron planet purchase.

We've put starters on 6.2s in the crate with slight modifications to the rear can mount. I would imagine that motor would work too.

    Fuel pump

Yes, the ldt 465 is the upgraded version of that motor. Many parts interchange but the bore is different and the stroke too I believe. I have a 427 ive taken apart and put some of the parts on my motor.

How do you get the most horsepower out of a 6.2?

Navistar block. Not sure what the hangup is about a 6.5 vs 6.2 but if you want an improved block, the navistar is your best bet.

    Fuel pump

Are you asking about the fuel pump on the IP or the IP itself? 5here is not enough different on the pumps to worry about if your contemplating using in place of the one with the broken spring.

    Problem after new HH installation

Dh had a similar experience with his 819. A heavy dose of seafoam fuel treatment helped.

    Problem after new HH installation

The important part is turbo or nonturbo. All you need to do is time the pump to the correct mark on the harmonic balancer and you'll be fine.

    Problem after new HH installation

That is probably the gear on 5he side, its name escapes me right now.

Length difference between front and rear axles on M923?

There should be no difference if its a truck that is singled already. If you have duals on the back, all you need to do is flip the hubs and you'll be back to the same width.

She was probably replying to post #9.

optimizer long block - hummer 24V or cucv 24v

Drill and 1/8 inch hole in the stat and you'll not have that issue again. It will still heat up, the hole isn't big enough to let enough water flow and screw things up.

    G272 on a deuce?

Looks like he is using rims too wide for those tires. No wonder he had issues seating the bead.
