It’s temperature...I almost positive. That is the side where the water leaked down between the liner and block into the air chamber when I first tore into it. I also saw over 200 degrees on the dash gauge right when I lost power and broke down. I’m hoping the O-rings will tell the story when...
Update 1/18/20:
Cranked the motor over with a big socket. Found 4 liners cracked all on the right bank at the base of the air chambers. Sucks but at least I spotted them now. Everything else is removed and ready to order parts.

At the largest annual swap meet and MV show in the West this April there will be three themed MV displays for a few hours each: Armor, Trucks 2 1/2 Ton and Larger, and HMMWV. The event will be April 15-19, 2020 in...
Silverstate55,
I have not checked that yet. My understanding is that the oil cooler failure would more than likely put oil in the water because of the pressure difference. The radiator fluid was green when I drained it. I'm focused on getting everything clean, get the liner clamps made, then...
Update 1/5/20
Got the other head off today. Now both heads are off and I can start cleaning the heads and block. No obvious seal failures that can positively identify the source of the engine failure.
Update 1/4/20:
Used the head lifting rig I fabricated and got the head bolts broken loose. Lifted off the right head with minimum issues. At least I could use the tire crane to lift and lower the head off the motor.
Snowrac,
I bought a tool that basically is spring loaded and goes in the air ports so you use the piston to push it out. That’s the plan.
Tracer,
I will look at all that stuff but I’m not interested in tearing it all apart. If it looks god from the bottom side, it’s staying left alone. Once...
Anyone here have the specialty tools for pulling liners, with the piston still in, the head alignment pins and the fuel line wrench? I am looking to borrow/rent since the cost adds up fast.
