Is there a separate wire harness for the solenoids? Hook the motor with the fat cable to the 24v system (generally they go to the positive lug on the starter) and use 12v from the top of the lower battery to drive the 12v solenoids. They will all share the common ground. Augi

The 6.5NA in your truck is a direct drop in replacement for the 6.2L engine. Doing the trans swap is identical, except you will be a step ahead in that the engine speed sensor bung should already be on the engine, which saves a lot of work trying to put the 6.5L housing on the 6.2L engine. Augi
