LMC is what I use. No complaints here and a good product.
While I had door disassembled I went and cleaned the inside of door well and painted, undercoated. 30 years from now someone will be happy I did.:carnac:
Welcome from S.E. Missouri!
Land Between the Lakes, Do you get to fish very much? I watched an epic battle off an old highway that died into Lake Barkley between a 25 pound mudcat and a fly fisherman for 90 minutes. Did not think it was possible, a fly rod.
NDT is right on as a little heat on the adjustment sleeve will break the seizure of the threads. Work it back and forth a little at a time and if one end is open drop out the rust as it will act like glue by getting into the threads.
Good Luck
Having more experience with K30's than K5's or K10's, I have always used knuckle blocks to keep less stress off the steering box, pitman shaft bearing, and frame rail. I have never used the arm as I see an increase in lever stress with the arm.
I guess it is a matter of preference, once you add...
Welcome from S.E. Missouri.
77' Elky will work as the truck is long to begin with and will have ample room for a 6.2. Find a 73' or later 4x4 truck with drivetrain and get started.
I still see two around built in the mid eighties and they were built back then, and have been continually updated...
Amazing how many mechanical uses that baby powder can be used. My first 16" split rim that I mounted many moons ago, Pop showed me that and I thought he was silly. I still mount all my tires except for auto's. Last pair were 13.6x28 for my tractor, when it was still warm out.
Thanks rustystud...
Why not use rivets? That is what was there? Or rivet, bolt on some aluminum plate. That is part of the character of the 1045A2.
What if you use pan head screws or bolts.
I would try and replicate the armor or the add on equipment package.
Considering the wing loading in flight I am awed every time one flies. The shape and design, thickness of the wing makes me think that there is no way to get airborne.
I would guess that the airframe will be another that will be around for some time. Especially for the mission it was designed for.
I agree with biohydrix and grab from front. Kind of tall, but can still do it from rear.
I look at the machine and it does not look 5000lb to me. 2000lb yes but what do I know.
Air up the tires, grab with front loader, use back hoe for counter balance.
