Good luck. I looked and looked for these, and found nothing that worked. I bought a bunch of different sizes kind of blindly, and none of them were even close.
When it came time to install my gen2 unit, I found the missing drain inside the case. I got lucky I guess.
I have not swapped out the alternator just yet, but I have the balancer in place. It's not complicated. Just tape off the 12v alternator lead. And the 12/24 balancer just has neg, 12+, and 24+ connections.
I would consider adding a big relay to disconnect the balancer though as it does drain...
Also.... this might help with sorting out any electrical issue with the winch. Once outside of the panel, it's really only 4 wires and 4 grounds that make everything happen.
Getting the PTO engaged light seems to me either a chewed/frayed spot in the harness, or if that sensor is a pressure...
So, I yanked the fenders off my 116 trailer, and did a little hokey-pokey with the tractor hooked to the trailer, and my winch to drag the shelter onto the trailer... then freaked out about how tall it was.
Too tall to drag behind the Jeep into the 70 MPH Wyoming cross winds..
I made a last...
I was thinking pretty much the same. I'll be tackling this soon, I'll let you know what I come up with. Although, after getting the box on top the frame, I'm pretty concerned about weight and height behind my Jeep. there's a non-zero chance I'll scrap the idea altogether. If I were dragging it...
So... @CallMeColt , did you ever get your box bolted down? How? Anyone else that's done this or is thinking of it, please chime in.
I'm actually thinking of chopping off all or part of the trailer fenders, leaving the flat horizontal parts and bolting through those into the box.... but I'd...
No. It didn't "already happen". The 1989 event was weak, not strong. Orders of magnitude weaker than say, the 1859 Carrington event.
"In March 1989, a powerful solar flare provoked a geomagnetic storm which subsequently set off a major March 13 power blackout in Canada that left six million...
I'm with you on a man-made EMP.... not super likely.. but a grid ending CME from our sun is an eventual certainty. Not if, but when. We had a pretty close call on 4/23 and the aurora could be seen as far south as parts of Arizona.
We have observed massive CMEs that just happen to be pointed...
People are not affected much by EM. People can take a lot more than it would take to fry your typical computer or coil, or starter winding, or alternator, or the coils in every relay. The real threat in my mind would be food security. Every fridge and freezer would shut off instantly. And after...
New glass is available from Omni Glass and Paint. I emailed them last September about getting a new one, just have not pulled the trigger yet. This is what I got back.
We do have these in stock. $262.68 each and a $200.00 crate fee (crate can contain up to 25pcs, so its only one crate fee per...
