    Wire loom tape?

The average electrician use case is a lot different than wire loom on a truck.

    Wire loom tape?

I'd like to know as well. Cheap electrical tape is the devil. I started using this stuff years ago. I'm not found anything better yet. Interested to see what other think/use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GDFQT6/

    step replacement options

While I was at it, I swapped out that leaky cab tilt cylinder.

    step replacement options

That's pretty cool. On a related note I got my replacement step mounted this weekend. Man cutting off the old cable mount was a drag. It took all the teeth right off my portaband and sawsall. Even the old cutoff wheel struggled to cut through the cable strands in the center of the mounting...

    fmtv winter front cover .

I bought one of those this morning. The cost was never my concern, but rather the amount of effort to instal and remove the thing, which others report is not trivial. I hoped the cardboard idea would be easy on and off.

    fmtv winter front cover .

One might even be able to create multiple versions of a slip-in blocker for customized air flow.... One for "it's a bit nippy", one for "dang it's getting cold", and another for those "why the hell am I out here?" temps.

    fmtv winter front cover .

Would it be possible to just slide a piece of cardboard (or maybe some rigid plastic for some water resistance) down from the top, between the charge air cooler and the radiator? Seems to me like I might be able to whip something up the right width, with some kind of stop device at the top to...

    Running temp for an LMTV

Seems pretty much like mine. I'd call that pretty normal.

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Yeah, I have not crossed that bridge just yet..... not sure if I want the console all the way forward against the HVAC, but I'm leaning that way as it would help quiet the fan noise by acting as a baffle. Plus it would make the interior storage options pretty cavernous.

I Also started to mock up a huge center console.... working on getting the curves on the side panels just right. I left them long in the rear because I'm not exactly sure if I'll put in the third seat, and if I do, where I'd need to chop off the console.

Step parts arrived... A quick mock-up says it might work. It might even be possible to attach the front side of the step to the underside of the bumper, and the rear side to the toolbox, making it get out of it's own way when tilting the cab..... without grinding into the tire. I don't like...

What have you done WITH your FMTV ( trips, Rescues etc) NOT: fixes, updates etc

Got drafted for parade duty for my neighbor's Ice Cream business.

    fmtv winter front cover .

The way I read this, you can install the cover in temps under 40F, but it's REQUIRED under -27F. So over 40F no cover. Between 40F and -27F cover optional Under -27F cover mandatory. Right?

How do you make a LMTV NOT suck in the snow?

I wonder how many studs each of our tires would take? I've had some screw in studs in my Amazon cart all summer.... Might be time to pull the trigger on those. One thing I believe in now is dedicated winter tires. My Tesla had an offset wheel arrangement and due to the two different tire sizes...

and... that's why I pulled the trigger on one of those 5 years ago without even having a plan on how to use it. I paid $300 plus freight. I knew that I'd never get another for that price. But, dang. $1200 wow.

Procrastinators unite.... later.... Glad I'm not the only one with a pile of parts lying around.... I've had that MRAP light set for 5 years or more..... moved it to a new home 3 years ago... still in the planning phase...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

Well... So far I'm thinking of three types of lighting. Entry/exit: Think a traditional dome light that switches on when you open the door (and via a manual switch when needed). Probably two or three overhead, with decent lumen output to basically flood everything with light and eliminate any...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

So far the soundproofing has made a tremendous difference, conversation is possible even at highway speeds in the cab. but I'm not done with it yet. I still get some low drone from the engine passing through the hump. I intend to place another layer of thick rubber on it, as well as a custom...
