Hi I'm just giving my new MEP803A a workout with break in oil and a variable 70 to 100% load. The fuel tank was totally drained [they popped off the drain wellnut to drain it] and I put in just under 5 gal of fuel. It read full so I knew the sensor was off. It shut down with a low fuel warning...
The 803a's were designed to be outside but once they have been stacked or had heavy stuff stored on them the top gets bent down and water flows into the electrical compartment. I thought the joint was siliconed but I just won a mint 2006 and was surprised when I took the top panels off. No...
The 803A's are rock solid and vibrate very little. I put the big batteries in and tightened them down with the hold downs. As Guyfang said in a previous post they fit well if you use the hold downs. Not a ton of clearance but more than enough.
My apologies to the military purists but my wife wouldn't let me put a Dessert sand generator that had been painted with a brush in Afghanistan next to the house so I had to repaint it. My new 803A has a very nice camo pattern she may let me keep it. I had the local truck tarp guy make this up...
Hi, If you can't find the original hold downs it is not hard to make them out of 3/4 inch angle. Just cut a small piece, drill a 1/4 inch hole, and weld it to each end of the main angle iron. The threaded rods are just 1/4 rod bent on one end and threaded. I put some self stick weatherstripping...
No problem. I have contacted GL. I called their main number and was told that to get in touch with management I had to send an Email to info@govliquidation.com which I did. I got a reply about an hour ago asking for pretty well all the information I had given them in my original email. They also...
Well, you are welcome to your opinion but in my view I am trying to fix the issue so it doesn't happen again and possibly to you in the future. What feedback and suggestions have I ignored???? As far as venting goes OF COURSE I WANTED TO VENT. WHAT KING OF FOOL WOULDN"T WANT TO VENT!!!!
I had all the photos and listing with me. I knew from 200 yards away that it was the wrong generator. I was well aware that the photos may be wrong but the description and especially the serial number should have been accurate.
It is no use calling the GL number it is pretty well just a call...
Here are photos. As I said I did OK but I'm still not happy with GL. I'm still shocked that GL is continuing auctions at Fort Drum. I'm sure this unit is still in their inventory because Samantha refused to take down the serial number. This scenario is going to happen again and again until GL...
I'm old enough to know that getting a lawyer involved for a $2000 dispute is not wise. I finally got the unit unloaded and fired up with break in oil as per Daybreak's instructions and it is a beautiful unit. I had to expand the battery cable clamps to get them on the teminals. They looked like...
I value my time and spending another 10 hours drive time to come back was not going to happen. I decided to salvage what I could and chalk it up to bad experience. As for the GL conditions of sale as far as I'm concerned at Fort Drum the blanket disclaimer is just a cover their ass statement so...
The thing that stopped me from taking the trailer is that I had to export it to Canada 30 miles away and Govplanet lists the mobile units as non exportable even though they are Demil A and are legal. I didn't want a hassle at the border.
I would suspect it isn't there. If she pulled the same stunt with someone else before I got there I bet the buyer would do the same as I did and take the best unit they could find which would be the one I won.
I showed the photos to the guy in charge at the same yard and he said they weren't taken there. She refused to take me to the 3 or 4 other sites that they apparently might have been on.
They had no lot numbers at all just the GL sticker and she wasn't going by serial Numbers . I think she said she was using the DW # what ever that is. I have never experienced such a dysfunctional operation. I would love to send the post to GL but they won't even reply to my email and the phone...
