Yep, no CDL for private use , they just want the $$$$$ for the plates. You also are not required to display the plate it just needs to be in the truck.

As a daily driver your looking at putting GVWR plates on , Historic have a bunch of restrictions.

You can get a cab card from the county for over width , It's not worth the fines to not move it legally . Sundays and holidays oversize loads are noy permitted in michigan.
