You can check this Dutch website for the (brake) parts.
https://vandamonderdelen.nl/daf/ya-126/12-reminstallatie.html
Most of the Dutch speak foreign languages, so if you send them a mail they, most likely, will help you getting the parts to you.
Otherwise send me a personal message and I...
I recently also bought a 1977 gmc c6500.
I does not have a Dutch registration and will start working on it after the cucv is done.
The idea it to convert it to a cummins 6bt and also to a flatbed/hauler for our pickups.
It is still at the sellers location and runs and drives. Will bring it...
It's running again!
Runs great and sounds goooodd!
Still working on it so still without exhaust and carefull on the throttle.
Also ordered a full aluminium radiator because the current one has a small leak.
Some more parts ordered.
This weekend I mounted a new inner and outher fender to search a location for the coolant bottle of the 6.5. Moved the battery a 1/2" to the firewall so it fits between the batteries.
Connected al the coolant hoses and I think this setup will work. Still have to order...
Rutjes messaged me that it is available on RA. Don't know why I did not see it before.
I will order it today.

The 6.5 does not have the temperature sensor mounted for the glowplug system.
I will use the baseplate of the 6.2 and will put it on the 6.5.
I'd like to put in a new sensor, only I can't find it on rockauto. Does someone knows the right partnumber on RA? (I prefer to buy it there because the...
Today we installed the 4l80e/np205 back in the truck. We placed it on a pallet and lifted it with the forklift. We adjusted the angle a bit and it slided in without any problems.
Used the new mounts, a bit of black paint and it looks new again :)
Also put in a new seal on the output shaft...
Soo the engine is in the truck again. Twice..
I had "rebuild" the motormounts with fresh rubber parts. Only the engine got stuck on it while mounting it. Used a hammer, and destroyed the new mounts...
Rutjes informed me that you should put the metal lips correctly in and then I found out I had...
The block has been checked and also the heads are checked with dye penetrant.
Both heads are replaced because of little cracks that were visible. After the check the heads were rebuild. It is definitely smart to do when the heads are removed. We would not had seen it without the dye penetrant.
Thanks for the gauge. I have to check if the one I bought is also able to show the fuel pressure. Otherwise I use yours as a refference.
I have never seen the difference between the injectors during a test. The only thing I know he was not trying to sell me them. I do had higher expectations...
Thanks for your advise and information.
I'll check the numbers again tomorrow. I have forgotten them. I do know it's not an 833 and I thought it is a 4911.
The pump is a rebuild and calibrated on a bench to make sure it delivers enough fuel at various rpm's.
I have got marine injectors from...
I don't seem to have the sheet with my end results. Pull 13 shows 210bhp 155kw and 492Nm. Close enough to the results I have seen overthere.
The other sheets shows the results with the other pulley. Pull 14 and 15. And the fuel shortage.
I'll ask him later why he doesn't use a bov.
I'm...
The engine is back home again. It was brought this morning and I will make more pictures tomorrow so you can also see more details.
They have also played with a different pulley this week to see what happens.
Well, it gave 252bhp! Nothing wrong with that I think so :)
The computer showed the...
There is more indeed, and in my case we have choosen the safe side. The IP is calibrated to 215bhp. I'd like to keep the standard crankshaft and don't want to upgrade the 4l80e at this moment.
It must be a dependable motor without being "overstressed" and for my use of the truck it will be...
I have seen the engine today on the dyno and the results are below.
I like it how it sounds and performs with 215bhp and 510nm. 0,7bar/10.2psi.
The engine holds the torque steady during its pull. And later this week I'll get the results on paper and post it here.
If it all goes as planed...
