He makes sure the engine runs correctly and get it ready for the engine dyno.
This saturday I will go there and also the Rotrex guy from Denmark will be there.
To make any...
Can't wait to hear it to!
I'm not planning to do that right now, maybe next winter I will. First I'd like to get it back on the road.
Ballpark of the price. Up to 6 a 7k dollars.
More than the price of the complete truck in first place 😅
The plans have changed. After I had bought a rebuild IP I found out it was not going to work with my engine. The sprocket inside is different for an electric pump and it needed to be changed.
The compagny who sold me the pump offered me to make it fit. And also told me about the Rotrex C30...
Max,
What do you mean with "not wel made"
The moment I brought my cucv to the RDW they checked the partial, original, vin number on top of the chassis. And also checked the vin on the dash and the title. After they were convinced they belong together the RDW stamped the complete number in the...
I pulled the engine out of the truck today.
Removed the steering pump an swaybar.
After that I used some degreaser and the high pressure washer. Most of the sticky grease is now out of the engine bay.
Tomorrow I'm going to test fit the ORD steeringpump bracket. And also check the brake...
I understand why, only I haven't heard the engine running at the previous owner. First O want to be sure it is functional. The wires are correct and all the other lines etc are functional.
After that and some test driving I probably pull it out again. It's not that time consuming or difficult.
Not at this moment. First priority is to get the engine connected so it runs and drives again.
Maybe next year I'll start with the upgrades.
First I have to know the engine sounds ok.
Everything is now disconnected, unfortunatly I did not have more time today. So next week we'll pull the...

Because I have some questions about my chevy that I'm working on and help others out with their future build I started this thread
Late 2018 I found the M1028 at SS and was able to buy it and ship it to Europe, the Netherlands.
It came with the 4l80e already mounted to the standard 6.2.
In the...
I have tried to purchase a s250 shelter and it came with the mounting brackets as shown on the enclosed picture. I never bought it so I can't tell you exactly how it works.
I have a m1008 with an 4l80e that has been converted by the previous owner.
According to the ez tcu handheld it shift trough all gears and starts in the first gear.
It only feels like it leaves in 2nd and I think the torque converter is not the correct one.
It has 106 gm 81 engraved.
Is this...
With the annual check of my M1028 it showed the problem with the rear brake.
Problem: driver side has approx 25% brake pressure and the passenger side works perfect.
I can't seem to get more brake pressure.
Already done in trying to solve the problem:
Load valve sensor delete and replaced...
Thank you for that verry interesting info.
As a Dutch guy, born in het 80's I had never heard of it before.
I just googled about Eygelshoven and saw that the Americans handed over the side back to the Netherlands in 2006. However, in 2016 it has been given to the Americans again to be used...
