My truck is half 24v and half 12v. I have a 24v alternator and starter, but Vanner equalizer and (2) fuse panels for 12v / 24v accessories. All of my gauges are Autometer 12v with their respective sending units.

I replaced the dead electric oil pressure sender on my bobber earlier this week. Talk about a pucker factor while driving at 56 mph, 2700 rpm and the oil pressure goes from 75 psig to zero! No underwear was harmed in the process.

Have you ever had that "pucker factor" moment while driving your pride and joy down the interstate when you think something horrible went wrong with the engine? I didn't think that the Cummins 12 valve (6BT) engine had suffered a catastrophic failure, but I noticed something wasn't right with...

The end-all solution to bolts losing preload and backing off on driveshaft flanges is to add a pair of Nord-Lock washers behind every nut on each driveshaft flange bolt. I put these washer pairs on every single driveshaft bolt of my bobbed deuce, and NOTHING has backed off the original torque...
I used my bobbed deuce today to back up traffic on the interstate for a little while. Traffic starts to build up on the East bound 2-lane interstate when the speed limit is 70 mph and my top speed is 55 mph. :D
No harm done. Most that were passing by gave me a thumbs up or a wave...
Added a 10 pound fire extinguisher to the side of my bobber.

I finally added a 10 pound fire extinguisher to my bobber. The most appropriate place I found was underneath the spare tire rack on a deck plate next to the side toolbox. Drilled (4) holes in the side toolbox and a few minutes later voila!

Here's the blast gate setup that I put on my bobber for $15 (gate, springs and safety pin). The only true way to shut down a runaway 100% is to suffocate the engine. No air = no runaway. Fuel can be sourced from the diesel plumbing as well as the oil pan. Why put multiple shutoff valves...
I finished up repairs (new wheel bearings, axle seals, tie rods, greased tip-to-tail, axle fluid, transfer case fluid) from the August 2016 Louisiana Flood and finally hit the road again with my bobbed deuce! Couldn't tell the Ouverson locker was back there in the rear. Maybe I'm driving too...
