So I was kind of in a panic when I posted this, this truck can't be down, its on call 24/7 .
I knew there was stuff out there available, just didnt know where .
A quick run to Oreillys auto parts for a remote filter mount was a complete waste of time, they couldn't even show me anything they...
Got a new filter went to put it in and it broke (primary)
Does anyone know of a spin on filter setup that goes in its place ?
This is the one under the generator pass side
I attempted once again to remove the new family of stubborn and unusually sturdy wasps from the inside of the cab of my M931A2 .
Here's a vid:
It's a 100° here, I let that engine run at high idle for 15 20 min, as soon as I shut it down (I almost eradicated myself doing so) the wasps were...
Fill it up with dot 5 silicone, if its leaking it'll let you know .
When you fire it up I'd keep a fire extinguisher handy or a heavy book over a removed intake pipe in case it wants to run away from home .
I'm a big fan of ATF in the fuel especially after sitting forever to lube things...
Hello all .
I recently switched from a sprag style T-case to an air shifted case .
Then I installed the air switch up under the dash where there has never been one before because this truck has had a sprang case all it's life .
The in/out air lines on this switch are pretty small, much...
Mine is full of Amsoil ATF, for two reasons ...
1- I got 4 or 5 gallons of it at a yard sale for 15 bucks .
2- it says right on the bottle that it is specifically for that Allison trans, does Allison know this ? I have no idea .
I don't believe that using ATF is going to cause failure, but...
I see no reason whatsoever to remove a million pound T-case just to change an output seal, just pull that rear dl out and get after it, you'll learn first hand that it's not that difficult .
By the time you get done reading someone else's opinion of how to do it, you could almost be done .
I bet if you two got together one mornin for a coffee meet & greet, one of you could ride under the hood while the other drives around town and that hissing problem would be located and possibly repaired on the spot !
(Hope it's not a snake)
@pitpawten
Those are some good looking tires
Btw, when you do your brake job try just putting a spray nozzle on a hose and using water to do your cleaning before you use the brake clean, you might be surprised how well it works .
75mph with short tires and 4.56 gears ?
I dont think so
Even with an overdrive you'd be at 3 grand plus on the tach
456s are some steep gears for short tires .
I've had alot of rigs with 410s 456s and 513s, the last two not at all highway friendly with short tires and no overdrive, and...
Does it have oil in it ?
Like, is it full of 90wt ?
I ask because it sounds like you had someone else do the job, and if you want something done right it's important that you do it yourself .
As far as the tire making a sound every rotation, that's not going to match the rotation of the...
