My ability to measure with the finest non retracting bent tang having chinee horror fright tape measure are unparalleled .
Just to be clear to the casual observers, the 4.3" bellhousing adapter was not on the front of my transmission when I measured .
And that drawering/sketch appears to be...
Am I the only one that works on my 5 ton ?
Well anyway I got it running today, it took some time and some doin, the rack was stuck in the injection pump, pita .
But I won .
I now have ATF in the fuel tank, and shall from now on (I only have one tank) and I will start it and run it more...
You need a MT28 Delco, but here's the trick you can't just go buy one at the parts store, but you can use a cummins starter with a different front section, a Japanese company made the mt28 for Delco I am unsure of what they were for, they're rare but there out there, lucky for me I have a kick...
Previous quote from this thread: "From reasearch, I understand that on the return, it is best to have a return drop tube so the fuel returns below the level of the fuel in the tank and is not aerated as it is "sprayed" back into the tank."
I also have read this idea before and it is not...
Okay so first off if you have an auto trans they use a flexplate, not a flywheel, get a genuine GM one and save yourself the headache of possibly buying some junk ones that are floating around even with big money reputable names on them .
Not sure which style starter you have now, but if you...
That old Dodge WC ain't nearly as heavy as a Deuce 1/2, but I bet they still blocked the suspension on that bottom rig or it woulda killed those leafs .

It's had an intermittent habit of starting hard for a few years, but always started, but not this time .
So I addressed all the usual suspects, does it have fuel, is it getting to the pump etc...
I changed the oil in my manual steering box in my 1963 Studebaker M50, (M35A2 with a water tank) in hindsight it didnt appear to need it, upon refilling I had to cock the funnel to one side to allow filling, making me wonder how/if these vent ?
I came back after a recent hiatus to find all of the info that I had saved in my profile for further use and to help others gone, along with all my pics/albums, and the entire website changed .
I like nothing about this, I have dug around quite a bit and can find NONE of all the stuff I had...
A 100 bucks says worse things have happened in your life, besides once the zombies get you then you become a zombie and we can see what lasts longer, you or your bling rims !
You don't have to change intakes unless you really want to, you can get a 2 to 4 bbl adapter and put a 4 bbl on that intake .
I have done this before, works great, better power and better mileage because 4 bbl carbs are smaller on the primary side which is where you spend 90% of your throttle...
Those look cool, almost like a mag wheel !
I think I'd have a hard time painting those OD, I can paint crappy rusty old rim OD and it will look about the same as every other OD rim
To think that all that time and money and labor would be hidden under paint seems like it'd be unrewarding to me
