    First '52 XM211

I like how you stayed away from the undercarriage too much as far as cleanliness and paint. These trucks get DIRTY underneath up north. Mine is pretty clean. But only because I spent WAY too many hours under there cussing and scraping, decreasing, etc. As far as under carriages go, nothing but...

I am sorry I took the stuff off my bumper and fenders. I will be putting new grip stuff back on by brushing on a thick slurry of sand/behr too.

    Catastrophic parking brake failure

The part with the "ears" is called the handbrake band support and mine had the ears broken off and rewelded back on by a previous owner or the Military. Butch has the part number for this item correct as confirmed by the Levy parts book. This item is $100 from Alfa Heaven and is not at the top...

    24v carter fuel pump overhaul - M220

The rubber grommets for the bottom of the fuel pump housing can be ordered from Memphis. I went ahead and ordered 2 when i rebuilt mine. Little did I know each box contained 2 so I ended up with 4 total grommets. Send me your address and I'll mail you one if you need it Bergie.

    GMC and Reo Carbs

That is too cool, I wonder if there's any real performance gain you get when going from a G749 carb to a G742 carb? 1950's plug and play tuning man. :)

Contemplating a Bobber! To do or not to do that is the question!

Hahaha! You sound as excited as I was with my 6.2 installation. It's funny how when you finally plop it in there how well it fits up isn't it? Gunfreak is totally jealous. I agree the extra mounts are a great idea. Good job, she's coming right along!

Trying to get two m220's running after a long rest

I never bothered noticing the 302 oil filter canister. How does it hook up to the engine? Plain hydraulic fittings? You've got a few hundred bucks in parts there.

    24 volts and the 700r4

It's so simple. Why don't more people use these resistors? Are resistors usually used for small low power items?

    24 volts and the 700r4

Thanks guys! Do you think will be more reliable than the step down converter?
  16. Gunfreak25

    24 volts and the 700r4

Nice, thanks V. So this resistor, does it reduce the voltage from 24 down to 12 or do I still leave the trans hooked up to the voltage converter I have on the firewall. Electronics were never my strong point.

    Boyce Remanufactured 2 1/2 ton 6 x 6

    24 volts and the 700r4

Thanks for the clarification. I looked it up and the solenoid only draws .5 amps. If the solenoid saw 24v it would in theory cause the torque converter to lockup twice as fast correct? I don't think this is a bad thing since i'll only be using lockup under a few conditions. 1 being anytime I see...

Oh man! That tilting hood is so god darn cool! It DOES look like an 80's mack. I'll bet working on it has been really easy too, I remember how nice it was working on mine when I had the fenders off. We've all come to know one another on here, some of us have even made best life long beer buds when distance was not a huge...
