You would have to look at the truck. There are variations in different trucks that start at a certain serial number. I have seen 2007 trucks that have a 3126 engine.
I see so many trucks with odd gauge issues most related to ground issues. The senders are grounded thru a bolt going to a dash bracket. I see alot of them intentionally unbolted the low air buzzer will come on in error with the housing grounded.
The transducers are under the drivers dash. I have seen their contacts rub on part if the dash. Sometimes the housings loose their ground. Could be the gage though.
Originally the wire is in a curved black plastic tube that slides in and out with the door. Hard to tell in your pic looks like some of it is still there.
Nv555 swapped a cab. Tough to lift the cab without damaging it. I took a few cabs off. Forklift over the top with padding under forks and big straps around cab. Air lines, main power, electrical connections and then the pivot and piston.
If its something small I have a guy that goes from there to me every few weeks. The stuff pictured outside like gens and vehicles are at Jays lot its down the street from the main warehouse. The main warehouse will strap most stuff down to a pallet so it can be loaded regular freight.

The trans harnesses are more prone to the wire insulation getting dry and cracking/falling off. Shorts happen. Usually where the harness turns. Where it comes out of the drivers side hump is common. You can get water in that connector also. Pull the grill and you can carefully use channelocks to...
Main grounds meet at the starter. Wire goes into the cab bolts up under the power panel. The shunt under the spare tire? I think its just for diagnostic purposes. There is a cab to frame ground strap passenger side behind the front grille.
