Looks MUCH better than my first attempt, and I gave it a TSP scrubbing and everything. I removed and replaced that splotchy ugly cover before it's end of life just to get rid of it.
RAPCO, Rustoleum, Krylon or other?

+1 on the regulator. Simple enough to check. Mine needed adjusting, but as NDT notes, it usually is a signal to purchase a new regulator as you're likely to need one soon. If yours is the 60A, it is an easy to get part, common to M35A2, HMMWV and more. My replacement was about $20.

I emailed about a similar concern and received a written response within a day. They're process isn't too streamlined, but it works, at least it has so far for me.

Welcome from Woodbridge. I second the advice to attend the Graves Mountain rally. Just print out your maps beforehand, as it's beyond the reach of phones and GPS (and I LIKE IT THAT WAY!).
Maybe you can hitch a ride with hrbergeron, he's out your way I think.

I've had similar experiences. In fact one of my shipments set straight to Tactical Truck arrived Monday, a day before I even got the automated tracking info notice, so they are early 21st century in spots of their supply chain still, but I ain't gonna complain.

Agreed. I'm glad they decided to be more public/practical about supplying us, and I don't mind these stickers all over my packages. As long as the packages keep coming!

I have to admit not knowing the difference.
Since my takeout 6.2 has a DB2, it sounds like we'll have to send it for rebuild, which is not a problem. The power pack was just delivered today, and it hasn't been unwrapped to see what we've got yet. We start Saturday, or more likely Monday...
I considered a dual-voltage alternator and may yet install one. The converter is a temporary fix in my eyes. The engine I'm taking delivery of Wednesday already has a 12V alt on it as well. Plenty of options. I would think a third battery for the 12V system would be needed, but I could find...
Worthwhile considerations Tobash. The converter Is immersion rated (though Chinese so time will tell). I didn’t interfere with the wiper wash tank or piping. That area was empty before.
I didn’t want to put anything in the battery compartment because I was worried about direct immersion. We do...
Installed a 60A 24VDC to 13VDC converter. This will help not only with future accessories but help my mechanic and I sort out wiring up a Hummer H1 turbo diesel and 4spd drivetrain later this coming week. While I may end up converting it all over to 24V, this allows us to get on the road faster...
Having trouble finding one. AMG doesn't have one, and HPG says the old school A0 one is discontinued.
I'm sure AMG didn't design a heater core just for the M998, and reused something from Detroit.
Anybody know which one?

I hear ya.
I thought VERY HARD about a 4BT and nearly bought one.
If I had the space, i.e. a good shed or large garage, I would have DIYd a 4BT in there for sure. Considering how low my 6.2 compression is, I'm going to nearly double my Hp and torque by putting in a 45K mile 6.5 turbo...
Guy near me has a 6.2, appears in good shape, he wants just $500 for. But that's a ways from AZ for an unguaranteed motor. I decided to source a whole powertrain instead. Thought hard about the 6.2, as it would drop right in, but opted for MORE POWER!
