RIGHT... The contacts on the ENGINE connector to the box can not handle the current. The 8 ga pins are only rated 70 amps on a good day.
Was a bad design right out of the gate...errr BOX, CAMO
Just a guess... and a FREE IMO... so proceed at one own experience level.
Sounds like the solenoid HIGH current motor run contacts are not making up. That's the two BIG copper bolt connections.
One quickie test would to to short across the two with a junk screw driver. Get ready for a good...
Not the answer your looking for BUT I would put this in the HumV file.

It will come in handy... like a ______________, CAMO
That's an easy one from the Camoteksystems builds file. Yes they do look some what alike. Front left and right rear lowers same. Same going the other way, Front right and left rear lowers same. A way to tell is looking at the spring saddle. Springs to the front and spring to the rear.
No...
🤔🤔 Not a whizz at transmissions... BUT how are the tranny swapper (that reads wrong) dealing with the TC lock-up solenoid / coil voltage requirements?
Are they hitting it with 12 Volts (tapped battery) or slamming it with 24 Volts. Like is there a 24 Volt coil or who cares or dropping...
I wasn't going after you or anyone. Seeing that you might be NEW here...MY MISTAKE. I just pointed to many of the sad stories and headaches other have experiences. IF I make a connection with new owners and help them in their quest, then that's a good thing. Everyone do your thing.
You are...
Lately and my crossed eyed observation. 100 Hmmwv sold a week. One can make a good deal at auction... BUT one need to be careful and it still can be the luck of the draw. Were all big boys... I got that.
Hobby has many facets. Win, wait and drive it (bad idea imo). Win, wait and drop it...
Don't know Texas... But I have watched utubes of a shop named Precision Transmissions in Amarillo. Seem like a "good oh boy" re-builder. Kid gets into it too.
What ya think of that operation, CAMO
The last lots sold in August and current are the larger panels. (600 or so units sold to date)
That is a boat load of 24 volt panels. Will be fun to see how this pans out, CAMO
200. More like 600 slold in the last month and another 150 plus on line.
Don't plan on them being cheap. Average unit price +/- 50 bucks on 150 units. 6-7 K bids. Give it a week or two and 150 clams on the auction sites. Now that will chap one buns, LOL
In it to win it and make a killing...
????? Butt need a bump ?? Or did you mean a jump? My truck has a working alternator so no humping, bumping or jumping. Got one of these too.
Let the sun shine and good to go, CAMO
