If you are inflating at idle, yes a hub leak can be a problem. It is recommended to inflate at full throttle when possible. If a wheel valves will not close at 28psi the valve diaphragm may be bad but it would have to be really bad or very hard. More likely it could be a restriction in the Hub...
673990 "Green ECU" These older ECUs are finding some going bad now.
676486 "Black ECU" Updated Replacement. May be hard to find aftermarket. Does have 1708 and CAN communications; if your truck has the 9 pin round/black service connector by the drivers left knee. Or you create a breakout cable...
I cannot give advice on behalf of the company I work at for obvious legal reasons but I don't mind using my knowledge of the CTIS product to help everyone here. I have 27 years on all US based military vehicles using the Eaton/#### systems. Mechanical and electronic test lab technician to...

During an inflation check for air coming out the axle vent tubes, this is a hub air seal leak. The engine driven compressor has a very low output at idle so if you can run the engine at WOT when inflating. Wheel valves can be an old diaphragm or rusty seat that can be cleaned and the diaphragm...
Slow inflation is due to the engine driven compressors inability to deliver air volume at low engine RPM. If you are parked at any time and the system is still inflating run the engine wide open and that will dramatically shorten the inflation time. On a separate note; a slow inflation due to a...
If a solenoid is bad or "open" the ECU will fault out and turn off the the led indicators as soon as the ignition is turned on. If the highway led is blinking, when the supply tank reaches 115psi the system should do the first pressure check, if the 5L fault is then active it is because the...
The only things I have seen cause flickering is a stuck keypad or a bad ECU. I suppose an intermittent Swign or Gnd wire connection to the ECU might cause a flickering.
No post says 5 blinking lights is a bad ECU. Flickering lights are not good.
5 lights on solid means that the ECU internal memory has been corrupted, that's not to say it won't eventually self correct but it is a bad thing and unreliable at best.
See Dana Troubleshooting Guide AXTS-0015, 2017. I...
5 lights on solid: Bad ECU
Lights Flickering: Bad ECU
Lights on then off by them selves: Solenoid fault maybe
Steady Highway Light: Good, system checks the pressures every 15 minutes and the highway light may flash when it's checking. If the tires were low, it will do a short inflation and then...
Any time the ECU has 5 solid lights it is malfunctioning. The lights should not flicker either. This is not caused by anything external it is a bad ECU.
Here is a link to the service manual; AXTS-0015

If the ECU comes up in 5 flashing lights at key-on the problem is electrical. A bad pressure reading from the PCU sensor or an open wire on the sensor or PCU coil.
Look at the sockets in the two connectors pull...
The system will check the tire pressure every 15 minutes. But in the cold the wheel valves may have trouble closing after the check, then the system begins inflation cycling back up to the the highway target pressure denoted by the terrain light blinking continually. The vent screw in the WV...
Survey... Would anyone purchase replacement wheel valve lids that would allow the CTIS to function at -10 deg F. Essentially not having to manually vent the screws in the cold.
