    Bleeding Coolant in 6.5

Just follow the instructions in the kit for bleeding. The Paradox kit self bleeds your system constantly.

Humvee Fan Fighting with Thermostat? (almost always on but temps are good)

These are NOT like your gas trucks. Temps below 200 are NOT good for a diesel. Diesels need temperature to run properly and achieve proper burn. Your gauge is indicating correct operating temps. The fact that your fan is on a lot can be due to several things but here is a short list. If...

    Validating M998 temperature gauge

IR is notoriously inaccurate for reading internal coolant temps. Don't shoot at shiny metal, rubber hose is best. That all being said those temps are sounding correct. A lot of guys chase gas engine temps thinking cooler is better (180-190F) but that is absolutely false on a diesel. You need...

    Bent linkage is suuuuuper common.

    1991 HMMWV overheating

So many of these get refilled with river water or worse, make sure you are dealing with clean coolant. Jack up the front of the truck and run it for a bit. There are pockets at the back of the block that can trap air you can help bleed out by lifting the front of the truck. Everything else in...

    HMMVW roll bars

So frame mounting is the way to go BUT if you spread the load over a large enough surface area then these types of bars can provide good rollover protection. In unibody racecars (my background) we had no frame to weld too, so the floor and the wheel wells and the rockers were used all the time...

    6.2 Head Gasket Issue (Video)?

Head gaskets fail in all sorts of ways. Yours is likely due to warpage due to overheating which is common due to the unbalanced cooling across the block. Make sure to install one of our Cooling Upgrade kits to fix this from happening again after the rebuild. www.paradoxbydesign.com

    cooling water temperature

I would highly suggest adding in a Cooling Upgrade Kit from Paradox to ANY 6.2/6.5. Make a huge difference in keeping the temps balanced across the block and heads as well as burping the back of the block constantly. www.paradoxbydesign.com

Agree, just steel wool or a fine wire brush on a bench grinder for the shaft and rifle brushes for the female stuff. These clean up really nice. Modern synthetic grease wont gump up like the old stuff.

I unfold the excavator and park it centered up or if really bad lowered down a bit. Give a ton of counterbalance.

What did you do to your trailer today.

So likely a loaded question (pun intended) but any idea out there how much load you can put on top of the stock bows of a M1102? I am putting a 4 man fold out and pop up tent on top and making stake sides below to contain my dogs in the bed.

    Start box woes

Also check the main cable connector to the start box next to the windshild washer reservoir. Those corrode but also have found excessive dialectic grease inside which causes poor connections. I clean them out with electric contact cleaner and slightly bend the tabs a bit to make a better...

    Coolant/heater issues?

These trucks have a nasty tendency to develop steam pockets and stagnant coolant at the back which burps from time to time causing all sorts of temperature spikes and heater issues. Our cooling balance upgrade kits fix these issues. www.paradoxbydesign.com

I would add some anti-gel as well to the fuel 👍

I need a M1102 HMMWV Trailer moved from Lake Worth TX to NE Utah

I have a bid to do this but want to give our SS guys one last chance. Thanks!

FLU419 Diesel engine does not shut off

Make sure you dont have low engine oil! You might be sucking pan oil into the combustion chambers or pressurized oil past a head gasket. This is a REALLY bad condition that have caused some VERY serious destruction. This is the first thing I check if I cant shut off a diesel.

    Flu419 SEE troubles

You might have pulled some rust through your slave cylinder and locked it up? Also your clutch fork might have locked up too.
