    crank no start

This is on my list to troubleshoot too. Mine will pulse three or four times, then finally crank and start. I found that if I hook up a trickle charger to the batteries (I used 2 12v chargers), once the batteries were fully topped off, it did not pulse at all.

Looks like a cruise control, but what is it?

Ah. Mystery solved. It's a throttle position sensor for the trans.

Looks like a cruise control, but what is it?

Not yet. It's sitting in a crate in the bed. Also, the high idle for winching is manual on the A0 trucks, right?

Looks like a cruise control, but what is it?

What is this module just above my fuel filter and pump? It has some wires, and a cable connecting to the throttle linkage. It looks to me a lot like the cruise module for a 3126 or C7... but I have an A0. What is it?

Considering a Roll Off rear body mechanism.

In doing a little more looking, Guess this type is called a "hook lift" bed.

Considering a Roll Off rear body mechanism.

You are not alone. I've been wondering about the feasibility of something like this: With a couple of extra beds, this could be really cool and useful. Dumpbox, flatbed, tanker, welder, camper, crane. Just hook on, drag it onto the truck and go. Like a giant Swiss-army knife in truck form.

I found a new LMTV parts source

No, but I did get a quote for the LMTV A/C brackets. $11,000 for the pair.

    Is this alternator defective?

It might also be worth mentioning that I've seen alternators that have this bolt/connector, but were NOT really isolated ground. If you have continuity between that bolt and the metal alternator body, it's NOT isolated. I've also had folks get twisted up with the nomenclature of "isolated...

    A0 versus A1 defroster ducts

Oh. OK. Thanks @TomTime that makes some sense. I didn't think about not all of the trucks having the extra brace, mine does. So my remaining question is for the two halves, are they the same? or do I need to find a specific right and left section?

    A0 versus A1 defroster ducts

here's one I'm talking about: https://dpequip.net/shop/truck-parts/2540-01-560-3955-hvac-defrost-duct-assembly-fmtv-12422969-001/ the description says it's only 34-3/4″ long But then I see stuff like this and it's NOT 35 inches, but is definitely a FMTV/LMTV defroster duct.: I'm missing...

    A0 versus A1 defroster ducts

So.... I'm considering swapping my A0 defroster duct for one of the clear ones from an A1. I found some parts online, on FleaBay and elsewhere but, I'm a bit baffled. It seems what I found is very short. Are the A1 defroster ducts 2 parts? if so are they the same right and left? Anything else...

    LED Headlights for LMTV

The military also has an unlimited budget of our taxpayer's money, and a much different use case than your average civilian. It's a lot easier to justify the "benefit" if it's not your money. The heated ones are nice though. I might just steal the Trucklites off my Jeep before I sell it.

    MTV fuel tank modification/tunnel delete

Hmmm. what's the dimensions of that 81 gallon tank? Maybe I can massage it into my lmtv as a cheaper alternative to an additional tank.

Advice needed! Loss of power / torque M1083

the only other thought I had was a plugged fuel tank vent, causing a vacuum to form in the tank restricting fuel flow, but that does not really account for the whistling noises and such. It'd be easy to check though, just leave the fuel cap loose or off and give it another try.

    Extra switch outputs

Slather them in sunscreen maybe? ;-)

    Extra switch outputs

I'm adding a complete winch setup to my m1078. The winch control box comes with a bunch of blank switch hole, but has wiring connections for each unused switch position. My question is this: If I add switches to fill those blanks where do the outputs go? They are all pre-wired, so the output...

    LED Headlights for LMTV

Living in Montana for years has taught me a lot about snow. I've had LED lights both heated and non-heated in a diverse range of conditions. In my personal experience, the heated option is useful in only a very narrow set of circumstances. When the temp is just right, and the snow is heavy...

Glow plug relay output voltage & manual button hold duration

I seem to remember something from 20 years ago about older style glow plugs swelling if left on too long making them difficult to remove. It seems to me the recommendation was to use a newer style that "self limited" maybe? Anyway, I might be wrong, it's been a long time, but it might be worth...

Anyone know the ground pressure for a FMTV?

I wonder how this is "officially" calculated? It's not like the contact patch is a constant. Do they measure aired down? on what surface? I mean concrete will give a smaller contact patch than soft dirt. Seems like a bit of a moving target, hopefully someone has the answer.

    LED Headlights for LMTV

You can buy an adapter harness off FleaBay that will allow you to use pretty much any 7" round LED light. Basically it's just a regular headlight harness with some military cannon connectors crimped on.
