Amazing you can work on gauges.....very interesting....i thought when one was bad it went to the scrap and you searched for a replacement...i guess if someone made it..someone can repair it....very nice....excellent!!!!
Professionally is a relative term???...my late brother 7-12-19 worked for freight liner....they sold mbs also...my love for mogs started a bit earlier...the mb sign saved from a trip to the dump...the vcr tape sent from an old mog owner...i will look for the old tape and see if it can be...

Hello there guyfang....man you are right on top of things....i live close to the ohio river....there are places that make canvas covers for boats....i just havent gotten that far yet....the other option may be to make a sonderkoffer camper box to set in there....what do you think??
Looks like you had a bit of fun ....love the canvas bed cover....i have an old rotten one that i save for a pattern.....no end curtains......maybe someday i can find a good set ....would make a nice camping set up....thanks for the photos....love it!!!
Very nice machines you have...i never did any professional machining...just home workshop....i just have 12x20 lathe and a small milling machine....there not the best...but not too bad either.....they have really come in handy over the years...

In the 404 trans. I replaced a few gears and syncronizers....they were not too bad....just a bit of wear......the ferret ive removed all the interior and power pack to replace a fluid coupling seal and clean and paint...no major mechanical problems. Just about all back together now...running and...
When i got my unimog it had a speedometer...a fuel gauge..a temp gauge..an oil pes. gauge..and an hour ometer that was not wired to anything....i guess the last owner just used it to fill the hole in the dash. Very cool you can work on restoring gauges...almost like being a watch maker i guess....
