I have a milspec warn 6k with a burnt motor from my m1038. I replaced with a Sherpa 12k. Not sure if the parts you are looking for could be taken from my takeoff winch or if any interest for other spare parts. If so, pm me and I can give more details.
I can vouch for CSM ….ordered 5 90% MT/OZ and had them shipped to a local commercial truck shop who did the install with run flats on 12 bolt. That was last spring. Tires shipped quickly and were as advertised. Been working out great for me so far.
So after finally getting into checking things out I realized I do not have the 60 amp setup...I was going off of memory, which is obviously not very good these days. What I have is the 100 Amp Niehoff Dual voltage 28/14.
I have been going through many previous threads and based on what I...
Ty both for the feedback. I will look into adding an equalizer...that being said, rotating for now until I can get squared away is a fine option...If I did want to charge just the rear battery, do I need to do anything then just connect my NOCO clamps to the rear terminals? For some reason I...

Tobash,
We’re you able to install your winch?
As luck would have it, mine failed this weekend...I hear the click of the solenoid, but no motor action. Troubleshooting a couple of things, but recalled your post and was wondering which warn winch you were putting in...is it a newer warn winch...
These are from last summer, but It’s about that time here on the east coast for one my favorite summer activities...recovering moron’s vehicles on the beach. The brand new BMW M3 in the video was my favorite. Guy is buried in the dune crossing blocking all traffic on and off beach and he says...
I am not sure on this part...mine was installed when I purchased the rig. In my simple mind I always thought if I had to take off and reinstall, plate would come off first and then winch and reinstalled reverse order.
I have a 1987 1038 w/ the old warn 6k electric winch...wire slot is up and remote box mounted on drivers side. Pretty sure my plate is the old one...Attached a pic. It’s a little dark, but if you zoom should see what you need to.
30mm socket for future reference. Thanks again and hope everyone had a good weekend. My rig is almost ready for another surf fishing season here in Delaware and the weather is warming so things headed in the right direction.
Been digging through TMs and part #s trying to determine what size socket I need to remove the fill plug on my transfer case to check fill level. I also searched some posts here and saw someone had asked a similar question a while back with directives to research the TMs, crawl under the truck...
