Can you describe how you figured out this was the problem other than the loud pop? Where you able to drive to destination after this or did you have to fix on the spot?

In Texas you can title anything with a bill of sale and a state inspection certificate showing the vin number and insurance. Look up bonded title Texas. Generally runs about $300 plus normal taxes and all that.

A couple more update on the rear most passenger axle. Check out the worn out rubber on the old wheel cylinder! New shoes and brake wheel cylinder. Cleaned it up quite a bit too!
Have not had any issues with brakes sticking since that occurred. I think the brakes were out of spec then. After that tragedy with the fire I replaced the wheel cylinder, all seals, brand new brake shoes and cleaned everything to the best of my ability along with properly adjusting the brakes...
I had that guy message me as well for some parts wanted and stating drew65 had them. I messaged drew65 directly on the forum and he let me know he has an m37 and no deuce and a half parts.
Definitely go for it! Safety First! jackstand came later placed in both front and rear of leafspring 12ton jackstand. You can see in the picture with zipperboot on bumper.
Today I regreased the front under the old torn zipper boot, replaced the zipper boot, and adjusted passenger front brakes. Those boots sure get slippery, however it went easier than I thought it would lol!
