I'm not sure that will be a good idea. Being the stop leak type of product, I'm sure it has additives in it and that may prove to be bad for the bronze bushings or the "yellow metal."
You flip the hubs only if you want to single the rear tires. This is due to the lug nut studs, they are long enough for two tires, flip the hubs and it shortens the lug stud so you can add just one tire and properly tighten it down.
Welcome to the site and congrats on the new to you truck.
Like the others said, the tech manuals are your best friend.
When it comes to the gauges, most likely it'll all be in the trouble shooting section, but it breaks down everything step by step and really helps to find the issue.
Another...
Oh yeah, that be plenty. I've used a regular 2.5 ton jack many times for the deuce. Since then I've switched to a six ton bottle jack I got for cheap from a garage sale. Paired with a 6x6 for height, works great. Be safe and use those 4x4's or jack stands, don't need a truck coming down on...
I think Rusty has the best suggestion, as these motors have incredible compression. If this doesn't work, that engine may need to be rebuilt, but I'm gonna be hopeful and that this is the final solution to a running engine.
If you can't get the tires or wish to hire the job out, normal shops usually don't touch those tires. I've even had semi mechanics tell me they won't touch those tires. The ones that usually do are the guys who work on farm equipment as the tires have to be done manually. I'd look up any farm...
You should never see any kind of "slime" in any part of the fuel system. To me, that may be one thing I have yet to see addressed and that is algae. There is a form of algae that forms and spreads in diesel fuels. Good thing is there is a fuel additive for that, which will kill the algae and it...
Welcome from MI. I use to live in NE years ago. Quite a few deuce owners out there. Some great minimum maintenance roads as well to test the off road capabilities out too!
You're right, doing it enough you just learn by the feel and sounds. I've never owned any air tools and still don't, lol. I want some but hand tools I've always had so I made them work.
For a deuce, I used a 3/4" breaker bar with a 6' pipe. I made the lug nuts pretty tight. It's better to make...
That's around a 172 miles for me. Be hard for me to find the time to do that with my kids school schedule and moms work schedule. Plus I'm not experienced in 5 ton trucks to know of any additional types of red flags to look for that differ from the deuce.

I would think that a smaller diameter pipe would increase the pressure therefore heat, but I'm no qualified mechanic either. I looked it up and the only thread I found was this one. Maybe...
Glad you found your dream vehicle! The road trips are always a time to remember! Good thing you made it home safely with minor issues and that weather!
Welcome to the addiction, lol.
I know you said there's no ferry service, but I'd definitely check around to see if there's any kind of contractor who could do it for a reasonable price.
Either way, from what I saw, seems like a decent truck.
My addiction first started when I was a young teen...
That's probably what I'll end up getting. I've done lug nuts on the deuces a few times and I was using a 3/4" breaker bar with a 6' cheater bar to break them loose. That wasn't so much the issue as I can't torque the lug nuts that way. I just made them all as tight as I could with just the...
I still need a torque multiplier myself. Which ones was y'all looking at on Amazon?
HDN- you know what brand you have?
I figure if I get something that others say works, which I trust folks on here before I'd trust many of the Amazon reviews, lol.
