    flotation tire's

I'd look from some smaller version of the skidder tires. You should be able to find some rims with a decent offset. As stated above, duals on the front are a bad idea for several reasons.

    A Few General Questions

I had 1100x20 NDT's on my bobber. The fit the deuce rim and have a bigger diameter than the 900's. I have a set (7) of HEMMT rims with adapters if you want to go with 395's.

    rassd71 1970 Deuce Build

Looks like she was run hard and put up wet. Since you are in CA are you going to have to repower the truck to meet CARB? If you can find one close to you the MRAP bumpers look pretty good on a deuce. Again since you are out there are you going to bob it to avoid the CDL requirement. If you...

    changing tires on the rear

My TD (Tire Dude) charges me 25 bucks to repair a super single (35 if it needs an O-ring)......I consider that reason enough to let him do it. If the tires will hold air long enough to get it to the shop I'd let them do that dirty work too. I mounted/dismounted and repaired/replaced a lot of...

need to move a deuce. Recommendations wanted.

The deuce can be hauled by a dually pickup truck with at least a 25 foot gooseneck trailer. I've hauled a lot of them on ours. Commercially these are called "Hotshot rigs" and usually cost less per mile than a Class 8 rig ot tow company. If you go the Uship route you may get a call from some...

Tire Air Loss After CTIS Delete?

Look for a place that does log skidder and ag tires in addition to big truck tires. My guy always has the right size O-rings to fix the super singles.

    I give you Marty Robbins

When I started trucking in 1977 they had several all night trucker stations. One was WLW in New Oreans. They were AM stations but you could hear them for several states. I loved to hear Marty Robbins, Red Sovine, Dave Dudley and other country stars as I was driving on through the night. El Paso...

Another M-105 Recovery - Another Lessons Learned!

I never put air on an empty trailer if it is lighter than the prime mover. The M105's were bad to get the brake lines crossed up and make the brakes engage. Almost never charged them (opened the valve on the truck) when I was in the Army for that reason.

    M35A2 questions

Having parted out a lot of deuces (Lord please forgive me and bless all the Pygmies in the Congo) I can tell you that it takes a while to get your money out of a parts truck. The rock crawlers used to buy the Rockwells all day long but some of them have found other axles that they like better. I...

    Dually centers on HEMTT rims

If you need that much flotation why not consider skidder tires? You might even be able to find some rims that would bolt on and have enough offset that you wouldn't have to modify the suspension. Just my rambling thoughts for what they're worth.

    M35A2 questions

Do you want a work in progress or a truck that you can drive now? For around three to four grand you should be able to find a good running truck with a hard top and maybe a winch. Be patient and the right truck will come to you.

    5 ton run flat wheel?

They look like normal 900 series rims to me. "Run flat" has nothing to do with the rim....it has to do with an insert inside the wheel that allows the tire to be deflated to very low PSI and not break the bead. You do have to have a tubeless rim and tire to use a run flat insert.

    Stupid runaway starter

I own one of these wretched inventions of the devil and the same thing happened to me. I managed to get the hot lead off before anything melted down. I raised the truck up and removed the starter and took it to the local old school starter/alternator guy and it tested good. Re-installed it...
