Greenman- Dude, you were a pleasure to do business with- thank you very much for hanging in there through the hiccups. I am glad everything worked out well! Glad to hear "the convoy" made it home to Vegas.
Too bad you couldnt make it out to Camp Dirtbag---- maybe next time---
I extended the flap mounts 6" by cutting them in the middle and welding a pc of 3/8"x4" flat steel in between the 2 halves, then spray flt blk. You can hardly tell I extended them! I may paint the flaps to clean them up later-- one has a rip.
A few more little things and she's D O N E !!! Not bad for a quickie build! Since these pics were taken, I painted some tan stencil boxes on the front bumper and rear wheel wells-- set the grn off a little bit. Gives it some contrast.
Still may blk camo it-- not sure. Need to do spare tire...
THX- I hope it will even make it out there---- I have had 2 serious buyers in for it today! No one has dropped the coin yet, we'll see what happens tomorrow. If it sells.....I have another one just like it!!!
I did chop and ext them-- I'll post pics later-- but I think they will be ok.
Thx- I am thinking a sml crane
lol
Its close--- I will raise the bed if it becomes a problem
lol
Thank you for the offer, Brian- but I have them already. I think what I am going to do is cut and lengthen the original brackets to push the flap back a few inches- I'll know for sure here in a little while...
Pics of work done by 0730-
Now working on bolting the bed down, masking the trk and prepping for paint, figuring out mudflaps-
I am leaving enough room to mount a 16.00 spare later. I'll build a custom holder/toolbox for it. To go between the cab and bed. A small crane may be a good idea too.
